2000 Suburban K1500 budget low lift with 37"s

It's a 1950 Buick Super (pretty sure it's not a 51, and can guarantee it's not a 49 (different side trim) or 53 (different headlamp)), with a hot straight 8 and an automatic! 0-60mph in 14.5s which is fast for back in the day.

1988 3/4 Ton Suburban with 12 valve Cummins

Great work. I've always wanted to do this with a Suburban, but unfortunately I sold my 12v Cummins before ever doing so, all at a really dumb low price.

Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison, COMING SOON!

Yup, because they (GM,FCA, Ford) weren't being known as the off-road truck companies (obviously Jeep was). At least on the West coast you would ask someone which off road truck to get and they'd tell you go get a Tacoma. Again, I'm trying to rationalize it. I just believe that if they keep...

Project “Polar Bear”: 1989 V2500 Suburban

Awesome purchase! I was looking at these really hard before deciding the ZR2 was what I wanted. Ram has really stepped up their game imo.

Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison, COMING SOON!

I would say that Toyota NA is doing fine, they sold more than 500 million vehicles last year than GM did and made nearly $6 billion more too. And of course they could do any of those things but why? I'm assuming their break point to offer those options would have to be fairly low for them to...

Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison, COMING SOON!

Everything is expensive now. I do wish there was a true return of small basic 4x4s but unfortunately we're a small minority, infinitesimally small. That's why we keep the old toyotas, nissans, s10s, rangers going. But the fact that OEMs are making Raptors, Power Wagons, and ZR2s whether used to...

2000 Suburban K1500 budget low lift with 37"s

Very cool. I've seen the Puma out there but hadn't found a good price and then got a show price on the 450C. I'm curious to see the final setup, I was thinking about something similar since it takes so long to do one at a time.

Advice Needed:: Tacoma owner considering a ZR2

I will start by saying, I work for GM as an engineer and have first hand experience with the ZR2. So take that as it may. I am currently in the market for a new vehicle, and at this very moment it's for a diesel ZR2 (have an appointment with the dealership today even to talk numbers). Two...

    Hummer Builds

I'm a bit biased as I work for GM and have used H2s and H3s off road. I'm not a fan of the ergonomics of the H3, Windows are too small making them harder to see of of than H2. The H2s are great off road. Driven them with only Fox shocks as an upgrade and they were awesome desert running and rock...

    Blueberry Supreme - '86 K20 Suburban

Ok, I'm making the hard decision to sell this awesome vehicle. I've got too many projects, and I feel bad seeing this thing parked not being driven. If anyone one is interested in a relatively clean, low mileage K20 Suburban, I'm open to reasonable offers.

2000 Suburban K1500 budget low lift with 37"s

What I take most from this photo (aside from your boys having fun!) is the Sub is nearly the same height of the 4Runner (which looks to be stock). Yet you have much bigger tires. That's pretty neat. Also how did you mount the light bar if you don't mind?

    Spot - 2001 Chevrolet Suburban 2500

We recently had an issue with my wife's daily driver, so we needed something to replace it. My 86 Suburban is nice but it didn't have the safety features that I would like for my family, so I happened to be on Craigslist (surprise surprise) and I noticed a decent looking GMT800 Suburban at a...

    Blueberry Supreme - '86 K20 Suburban

Thanks for the info, that's something I forgot about. I knew the springs are wider at the ends but I forgot to think about it with the ABomb. That's a good enough excuse for me to get some 2" lift springs and eventually bigger tires!
