OK, so you are using redundant under voltage protection for BB battery life longevity , that's a good thing.
Giving you some reserve capacity to use with the reserve switch and reducing the number of entries into the < 20% SOC area.
I should do the same.
Here are the changes I believe this...
Thank you for the correction to #7 and #10.
#8- "Control Wiring, BMV712 GND term point needs to be connected to the Li-ion Battery - terminal." this is not right as you have pointed out. The BMV712 does not have a ground term point. #8 should have read "BP GND term point", not "BMV....". The BP...
Dreadlocks, you have been very tolerant and accommodating. Thank you for your patience & sharing.
At this point I understand these points about your system and the one that I am putting together:
1- Programming, The Battery Protect ACR (BP) Mode has to be set to the 'Li-ion mode'.
"The...
I do believe that I have already subscribed to 'Dreadlocks outfitting of InTech Discover' thread. will watch for new content.
I also realize I screwed up my last post, will fix that.
I think you are saying that you moved the Li Batt + wire from the BP 'in' terminal to the 'out' terminal and that when the Li Bat + was on the BP 'in' terminal the BP did not isolate the charger when the li batt was fully charged. I would not expect that change in wiring to make the BP fail...
Thanks for the fuse notes. I ordered a few of the fuse holders that go on the battery/device studs a few days ago. One outfit was slow on itemizing a delivery date for the fuses, so I canceled that order and placed another with another provider, they'll be here in two days. I'm using 60a...
You must have some fuses in the scheme. And are you using the tow vehicle battery/alternator to help recharge the Trailer battery if you move from place to place on an adventure ?
I have my plan formulated for mounting the grape solar panels on the roof, a route for the #4 wires down to the...
Very nice setup, a little more than I need for getting away from it all in the boondocks. You might want to start a new thread on your LiFePO4 setup. I'm sure you will have many interested in your Battleborn Li battery setup.

Thanks. I looked at lucidchart . Looks easy to use. Just wondering what format you downloaded your sketch as to share in this thread. Guess I have a lot to learn. Did you attach it as a file or just paste it into the text box.

Looks like the starter battery voltage input to the BMV712 comes from the PD charger/converter internals. Could it be tied to the PD output '+' terminal as well ?

What software program did you use to whippup the diagram ?
Thank you for the diagram. I see that all the power supplies will be on the load side of the battery protect relay. I see your bypass switch (reserve switch) for the battery protect relay. This a power and control diagram. Nice.

Thank you for the detailed explanation of how you are using the BV battery protect relay interfaced with the BMV monitor to protect the L-ion battery from over/under charge and integrate the PD-4100L charger/converter into the system. Very well thought out and clever. I will use this...
Finally putting it all together.
"you just need the high side for the charger, and the BMV-712 can provide this for you"
think I can get the high side of the battery charge from the BMV-712 SOC point or battery voltage point.
Do not fully understand the statement above.
"I use the battery...
Is the battery protection relay a separate device, from Victron Energy ?
So do you use the battery 12.2v setpoint on the Battery Protect Disconnect along with the 20% battery SOC level as derived from the BMV ? I read that the BMV resets the 100% charged point nearly at every charge cycle...
