A back track and exit through the West Entrance took me into ID and then over finally over Teton Pass. Welcome to WY -
Photography was a good part of this trip so the iconic locations were knocked off the list- Oxbow Bend, Mormon Row, and Schwabacher Landing. There were plenty of detours, and...
We both aren’t too big on crowds and tourist attractions, so we set out the next day with no destination in mind. Getting lost in the miles of mountain forest roads through Northwest Montana was the goal and one that was easily achieved.
Leaving GNP, and heading the truck South through...

It’s impossible to go online these days in the world of overlanding and social media without being inundated with beautiful pictures of built up rigs and backdrops of majestic mountains. Being born and raised in New York, this world feels completely out of touch. For...
Great pics! I did a similar trek from NY to CO last summer in my JKUR. Colorado is insanely beautiful and was the one place I really didn't want to leave.
Thanks for the comments. I might do a writeup of my trip which was 2+ weeks driving from NY to Montana and Wyoming. It was pretty awesome and resulted in a couple thousand pics (literally). Here's a little better view of the cap. It's a Leer 100rcc that is their reinforced model to hold like...
Just ordered one for my power wagon for a trip out west. I debated a while between the slumberjack for 90 bucks vs the batwing for 700ish. Decided to try the slumberjack first as I’d only want it for worst case/bad weather and wasn’t really into having an awning on the truck for thousands of...
Can't wait for more details! I was so close to pulling the trigger on a bed cap with hard shell RTT, but this option is way more appealing. I'll be watching.
Glad there’s interest in this. I’m looking forward to interior pics and pricing as well. I was really hoping someone on the forum might have some insider info to share. It seems like some people are able to get a bit more before things are released
Anyone have any info yet on this? FWC seems to have just released a couple teaser pics on Instagram of this model in testing. It sounds like it’s meant to be a light weight option that isn’t a full camper. Looks to me like a pop up camper/cap. I’ve been looking at a cap for my power wagon and...
Truck looks great man. How are you liking the tonneau/rail setup with the rtt? I’m considering it to be able to run the tonneau all the time and just throw the rails/rtt on when I need it. Instead of running a dedicated rack 100% of the time.
Zeon 10-S in good shape and barely used. Synthetic line with Viking offroad safety thimble. Controller is obviously included but forgot to put it in the pic. Also will throw in a bartact neoprene cover with it. I still have the original box and paperwork as well if the buyer wants it for any...
Im looking at options for a rack/tent or camper cap setup for my 2500 power wagon and came across the Expedition One Mule rack. I've never heard of or seen anyone using this as most seem to favor the Leitner rack. I really don't need all the attachments and boxes of the Leitner so something more...
Thanks for the reply. It’s looking like I’ll bump up the dates by a week and try the last 2 weeks of Sept and first week of Oct. I’d rather be a little early than too late!
I thought most people say the worst thing you can do for newer emissions intact diesels is to idle for long periods and/or not run them hard? These newer emissions intact motors are what this thread was originally talking about and probably what a lot of newer diesel converts would be looking...
