I'm running a grandby shell on my flatbed with toolboxes on the sides. Ive never figured out how to post pics here but if you message me I can send you some
New tires mounted up today. bought 2 new wheels and kept the best 2 existing tires for spares

building a bumper is my first priority that one looks like crap!
The flatbed is in the image above. It has side boxes on it that will be removed when the camper is in use. I'll get some pictures of the camper before demo starts next week. Need to clean the garage out this weekend to store the parts that will be reused.
nothing to exciting to report today, Got the AC lines replaced and the system recharged and ordered 4 new tires and 2 wheels. I'll run dual spares on the back of the camper for a 16 day road trip in September. After that I will switch between dual spares and a single spare and motorcycle carrier...
about to start on a long overdue project, I bought a 2004 phoenix camper 3 years ago. It's a short bed model originally built for a chevy I believe. I used it in my 2013 f150 for a few years. this winter the roof leaked pretty bad and I sold the F150. I now have a 2004 f250 diesel with an...
With the borrowed offroad trailer you could buy a used rtt for less than a 16 day teardrop rental. mount it and go. you could probably sell the rtt for about what you paid for it after the trip or keep it for the future.
I bought my Phoenix camper 6 hours away from home, like mentioned before get detailed measurements of the height of the overhang as well as the height of the sides where they go over the bed rails. I have a 3013 f-150 and the camper was designed for an early 2000ish GMC so I had to bulid a 6"...
I have an 04 Phoenix with about the same dry weight and I don't notice it on the back if my 2013 f150. Had it on. 1500 mi trip up to Acadia national park. You will be fine. The previous owner had it on a 2000 tundra.
if you didn't get around to painting the bottom section yet what about doing spray on bed liner? it will seal it up good and will help keep it from sliding around as well as being a very durable finish. Love the project keep up the god work.
I just bought a Phoenix pop up from a guy who had it mounted on a 2000 tundra. My camper is similar in weight and he said he had to add air bags on the rear and switch to E rated tires. I don't notice it at all on the back of my 2014 f150. cool little camper good luck with the new truck and the...
What are the interior dimensions of the interior? I found the height in your build thread but I'm looking for the length and width. Also what all is included. Does it come with the fridge?
Thanks
looking good. Why not use a fastener with a little more visual appeal like a button head Allen screw? All the attention to detail is kinda lost on the Phillips head screws.
These security head bolts would look real nice and really ad to the visual appeal...
