Great work so far!
Since the Timbren topic came up- I have (distant) plans for a trailer build of my own, should end up a bit over 2,000lbs. The 1Ton HD version looked great with longer arms/more travel, but Timbren tech support said to go with the 3500lb version, as the 1Ton may bottom out...
I don’t use locktite on them, and have never had any problems.
My RTT attaches at six places. Three of them are the standard double bolts with a flat bar across that clamps under a roof rack crossbar. Those bolts all get regular old nylock nuts. The other three are single bolts that go straight...
I got Tufnuts (and some big fender washers). I use them on half the mounting bolts, the other half get nylocks. The Tufnuts are great and weren’t that expensive- their website quotes them in bulk but if you call and ask they will sell much smaller quantities...
These used to be made by a company called Jackwagon Trailers, but I think they no longer exist
AT (Adventure Trailers) make a flatbed version that could probably get some sort of roof rack built on it.
Also, XVENTURE I think can fit an atv inside as well.

I don’t find that the rungs hurt my feet, but then I’m often barefoot in all different kinds of terrain. Wife is a dancer (music theatre; get your heads out of the gutter) so her feet are tough as nails...
All that said, we usually hang a cloth grocery bag off the top of the ladder and put our...
Tire size and frame strength aside- I would think that any suspension that could handle the heaviest proposed loads would be all but solid (useless) under the lighter proposed loads. Unless maybe some over engineered air bag solution could be devised maybe...

You know, when you're a little kid and you imagine an off-road toy truck that can go anywhere and drive over anything... you're almost done building it!!

Love this so much!
The tone of the last two "mountain hiking" posts is so different from the "humid tick infested" posts that I think you should probably just stick to mountains and Mexican beaches...

Everything you make looks so good- I'm betting this build will be fantastic! Too bad about whatever may have happened to your former business, hopefully bigger, better things are to come...

Am interested, but out of town for another week- and not really in a hurry to buy as they would need to be stored for a project that won't happen for a few months. If they don't sell soon consider sending me a PM...

Always hit or miss with made in China bits... but at least what you have sound like it's working just fine. I have to get around to doing something similar since my rear 12v port is on the long end of what must be very thin cable- I have to have the fridge's battery protection on the lowest...
