Believe it or not, but I use heavy duty freezer bags for my topo maps for search and rescue land nav training and actual missions. They work well and take a beating in the woods and stuff easily into my vest of pocket. I've found these bags fold up easier and are less bulky.
All these numbers make my head hurt too.
With my homemade 10lbs Co2 system I get about 24 tire refills, mostly mine (285/75/16), from 18 back to 32 psi before exchanging it for a new tank.
Me on a land nav course, no GPS - just a compass and a b/w 1:24,000 topo map, praticing before my solo test. Another shot from a weekend offroad run into West Virginia.
Used Toughbook CF-28s and CF-72s seem to be plentiful on eBay. Taking my time trying to find one with the specs and acc I need and watching to see how much they're selling for. There was a nice write up not too long ago either here on EP or on MUD regarding someone who scored a CF-28 off eBay...
Thanks for the responses. I'm still trying to decide whether to go with a tablet or a used Toughbook off eBay. I'll have to be a bit more creative in regards to mounting the Toughbook then with a smaller and lighter tablet.

No, but I've got a rather unusual alternative . . .
Prior to a particular dusty ride I, with my wife's permission, cut the foot portions off a pair of her black stockings. I put both over my snorkel intake and then used some black electrical tape around the bottom. It worked surprisingly...

No, the Garmin is about an inch above the dash.
Is this something that your personnel won't have to carry (that is its acting like a supply cache to resupply their own packs) or will they be expected to carry these supplies while covering the wildland fires? If possible, keep them portable and I'd even suggest you use backpacks. In the...
I'm running an Optima Blue Top D34M for about a year and its worked well in the 4Runner. The D34M is both a starting and deep cycle battery. A nice feature are the extra pair of threaded posts with wing nuts to power accessories.
