I regret buying the stock tundra transfer case, its still sitting in the box in my garage but I should have bought a real manual one. Especially since I already have the manual hub swap parts.

I have the poly bushings and they are awful, they have like 1/4 inch of forwards and backwards play so the whole control arm can slide forwards and backwards. I am not sure if my kit was missing some washers or something but they don't fit properly right now.

Canadian residency is based on a point system, your education, employment history, net worth, etc all play into it. In some regards its a better/simpler system.

I am not sure what the deal is, the First Gen Tundras have not changed suspension wise (within reason) since 2000 when they went into production, on top of that, camburg and total chaos have been building kits since 2001ish. There shouldnt be kinks to work out. It sounds to me like its a lack of...
I have had my camburg arms for 5 years and they have been flawless. Uniballs are wear items so when they squeak bad or get loose you replace them. Same as any other ball joint.
TC arms are about the same but they are more expensive.
I can't comment on the SPC's

Yep, The deavers are reallllly soft. Remember though that the shocks are angled so 1 inch of shock shaft does not equal 1 inch of travel. Ultimately the lower ride height is why I went cantilever, there isn't really a good mounting point for the shocks without cutting through the bed.

Make sure that you do install the new shocks in the rear, with the extra weight of the camper you will probably blow through the travel of those leaves if you hit anything at speed. The SOA Deavers are great but they do require a decent shock setup.

How is the pattern with the new bulbs? I keep eyeing them for my tundra but having run hid kits without a projector I really don't want to blind everyone (learned the error of my ways)

How far down are the bump pads on the arm? That looks like it would bend the arms really bad if you hit hard enough. Its better (if space allows) to bump off the actual axle rather than the arm, this keeps you from bending the arm/heim or shearing the bolts.
The grab handles came out really...
Ultimately it depends on the length of shock chosen for the outboard shock setup. For a deaver g57 setup with 14" of travel you can use a 14 inch shock mounted vertically or you can use a 10 inch shock that is at an angle or anything in between, it depends on packaging like you mentioned. For...
Sorry to clutter up your thread Sean, I don't mind if you want to remove this stuff.
Not quite right.
The motion ratio changes across the travel, you are thinking about the overall motion ratio and not considering the angle. On my cantilever setup the angle of motion goes from 24 degrees at...
The deciding factor for me on the cantilever vs outboard shocks is the way the valving changes with travel. The cantilever gets stiffer the closer you get to bump while any other suspension gets less stiff unless you have 1:1 shock travel per wheel travel. I am not sure how the valving is any...
No, its removed already. I just have not had time to fab its replacement and the fender guards. I am loving not dragging the hitch everywhere though.
