Black 2003 Stock Suburban Z71 wanderings in MT, UT, WY, CO ND, MN.

Just stumbled on this thread. I love the pics and all the places you've been. I want to get out there soon and show my wife and daughter all the beautiful places our great country has to offer. Any chance you have any info on your routes? GPS coords or way points, etc? Sorry to hear you...

    **Tepui RTTs and Accessories**

Really like that setup Boost. I like the fact that you still have some space at the front of the roof rack to store stuff and the RTT is not sitting on top of a full length cargo basket. I'll have to look into them to see if a Autana XL (Gran Sabana) will fit.

    **Tepui RTTs and Accessories**

Thanks for the info. Still researching at this point, but I'm leaning towards the Tepui as they are 1.5 hours south of me and I want to support a local business.

    **Tepui RTTs and Accessories**

I'm starting to look at different RTT's and one of my requirements was that it fit myself, my wife, our daughter, and a small 20lb dog. That being said, I'm looking at 4 person RTT and was looking at the Gran Sabana, but it looks like it is no longer on the Tepui website. For 4 person RTT the...

    Poor-boy RTT - now I need a ladder

Very cool idea to put those cots on top your trailer. I've been thinking of getting the double just to use when car camping but never thought to put it on top. Looks like the telescoping ladder would be your best bet. The fact that it is so compact when not extended is a bonus. Plus since...

    2004 Chevy Tahoe Z71 Front/Rear Bumper option

I do like how it looks for sure. Now, I'm debating on getting the one made for Chevy and be able to just bolt it on, or get a 100 series LC bumper and have to mod it to fit. I'm a bit concerned with the added weight as I plan on getting 12K winch as well. The cheapest route for me at this...

    2004 Chevy Tahoe Z71 Front/Rear Bumper option

02TahoeMD, thanks for the info. I think your rig is probably the most famous GMT800 Tahoe out there in terms of an Overlander. Love all your write ups and info you've posted and provided along with the details and photos. Thanks for the info on the LC for the ARB. I knew you had one on...

    2004 Chevy Tahoe Z71 Front/Rear Bumper option

I keep reading about people taking the ARB bumper for the 100 Series Land Cruiser and modifying it to fit GMT800's. Is this because it looks/fits better than Deluxe model on ARB's website? Are they modding the Sahara model? I recently went to ARB's website and it looks like the Deluxe Bull...

    Jelorian's 03 Z71 Suburban Build

rayra, thanks for taking the time to write up all that info. Good suggestions and tips. I haven't gotten around to getting a roof rack yet as now I'm torn between getting a roor rack or a roof top tent. Argh... decision decisions. ExplorerTom, you are too kind! Thanks! Thanks chilliwak...

    Jelorian's 03 Z71 Suburban Build

Sorry for the late reply. I apologize! I haven't been on this site as often as I'd like. However, the Level 8's with the 265/70R17 should fit just fine. I would say go for it. We'll have to see pics after you get the wheels and tires! Cheers!

    Jelorian's 03 Z71 Suburban Build

Hey rayra, I I'm looking for something 7'-8' at least. Yes you are correct, I don't have a sunroof. I saw the thread on your custom rack. Very nice work and it looks great! Unfortunately I have zero welding skills, so I would either have to call on the skills of a local fabricator or buy...

    Jelorian's 03 Z71 Suburban Build

I hear ya on the 9.5k not being ample enough for our rigs. If I could fit something bigger using the hidden winch mount I would. I don't plan on going mudding with mine, but who knows what we might encounter out on the trail. I wonder if the 9.5k limitation on the hidden winch mount is the...
