    Flashlight

Have have multiple Streamlight Strion flashlights. I've seen them new on eBay for under $100. Rechargable, compact, and very powerful. They also have a high lumen version, more money of course. Easily my favorite light.

Custom Tundra Bed Storage: Phase 1

Great build! I also have a Tundra, lots of great ideas here. I found your thread searching for ideas on a topper support. Did you use steel or aluminum? How much does it weigh? I have all of the tools to fabricate one out of steel, but I'm concerned about weight. I would have to have someone...

    Air impact wench suggestions

Not sure if what you're looking for exists. I use an IR Titanium professionally everyday. It's the best, strongest, lightest air impact I've ever used. I've had mine for almost 10 years with no rebuild.

    BF Goodrich KO2 34/10.5/17D vs 35/12.5/17E

Thanks for the info! What you you think of an E rated vs D rated? I'm really leaning towards the 34 just because of the width. Thanks again!

    BF Goodrich KO2 34/10.5/17D vs 35/12.5/17E

This truck will be traveling the Dempster highway in the next year or two. Will probably need another set by then. I had Goodyear Duratracs at one point and the sidewalls just couldn't hang.

    BF Goodrich KO2 34/10.5/17D vs 35/12.5/17E

I'm looking for opinions on these two sizes of tire. I'm pretty set on the KO2, but will consider others also. We live in Colorado, so snow rating is a must! These will be going on my daily driven Toyota Tundra Crewmax. I haven't bought wheels yet, so I would also consider other sizes. The truck...

    Looking for an expedition TRUCK

I love the Tacoma's, but they're way too small for a family of 5. Go look at a Tundra Crewmax. The backseat is crazy. Especially since your kids will be MUCH bigger in 5-10 years. I went through a similar decision and ended up with a used Tundra for under 30k. It's a simple, reliable design...

Full size pickup storage and sleeping platform

Do you have any issues sleeping back there? We're considering doing something similar with our Tundra Crewmax, but I'm 6'2". Awesome build, was going to buy a Decked system, but you've inspired me.

    Jet Boil meals

We've always had a really hard time cooking in our jet boils. We only use them for boiling water now. They work amazing for coffee and dehydrated meals. We use ours for coffee while car camping and for dehydrated meals while backpacking. We always burn anything else we try to make with it. Even...

Nitto Trail Grappler - real world feedback

I had them on my Jeep JK when I sold it. Had about 25k miles on them and was expecting to get 40-50k out of them, they wore awesome. Mine were 37/12.50/17. Decent on highway, killer offroad and in the rocks. Not good on ice/snow. And a very heavy tire. I used my Jeep as a DD and rock crawler. I...

Has your JK ever left you stranded?

Mine would have left me stranded once if it wasn't a manual transmission. Starter went out on my 2012 with 50k miles. Carrying an extra starter in an automatic seems easy enough! I did have the cylinder head failure on mine at 150 miles, but it still drove. Was able to drive it to the dealer 60...

    Modify pop up camper?

Thanks guys! The camper is old and wooden. Not sure of anything other than that as i don't have it yet. I dont want to take it and have to get rid of it. The upholstery and cavas is no big deal, we have a good local canvas guy. The camper needs to be redone anyhow and i have an open space in my...

    Modify pop up camper?

I just bought a Tundra Crewmax with the 5.5' bed on it. Was planning to either put a rooftop tent or camper shell on it. Same day a friend of mine offered me a slide in pop up camper for free. The camper is for a 8 foot bed with a really slim section that goes over the cab with the bed in that...

    Looking for a new truck

Thanks for all of the ideas and suggestions so far! Really been leaning towards a new/used ecoboost f150, tundra, f250 diesel or 2500 diesel. The camper will be a very small unit (haven't chosen one yet), smallest I can fit in the truck. Like I said, just me and the wife. I've also considered a...

    Looking for a new truck

I'm considering selling my Jeep and buying a truck and pop up camper. Current Jeep is a 2012 four door Wrangler on 37" tires with front and rear ARB lockers. I know I will regret selling it! I've been looking at new trucks, but am having a hard time picking. It would have to be a full size, but...
