Winner winner chicken dinner!
I looked at a small section of the floor under the anti condensation mat and missed it. Upon further review I removed more of the floor and found where it went.
Thanks for the replies.
I am thinking you could put some large holes in the sides of the ammo can. Perhaps 5 or 6 baseball sized holes going around the perimeter of the can itself. I suspect it would let the lava rock fall out if it were to tip over during transport, but otherwise I think the can would hold its shape...
Well, it would look sweet next to my M101 trailer. At this point I don't see how I could not make one.
Thanks again for the great idea.
Full disclosure: when I get compliments at the campsite, I am not giving you any credit at all.
I have to tell you.......If you had said you were painting it white, I would have done my best to talk you out of it. But once the paint was on it, it actually looks pretty darn good.
The whole trailer is looking sweet!
Very cool how it matches the Jeep perfectly as well. White body with a...
Correct me if I am wrong: isn't the point of the anti condensation mat to lift the mattress off the base of the tent, to allow the water from condensation to evaporate and to keep it from soaking into the mattress? I used my RTT for 3 days in Maine and there was no rain. When I folded the tent...
My wife was in the tent and found this "pin". Any idea where it goes? I am not even 100 percent sure it goes with the tent. Pin is about the diameter of a pencil and about 1.5" long. Pin is black plastic/nylon.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Stryder brings up a good point. Sort of makes one wonder why so many people are familiar with how good their customer services is?
I am a big handgun guy. All the time you hear how great Taurus handguns customer service is. You know how it got to be so good? Because they have had plenty of...
Orenv, I agree with DoorDing. IMHO the entire point of the rooftop tent is fast deploy and fast take down. I can literally park and be up in my RTT with my head on the pillow in 2 minutes if I had to be. I suppose if I were super paranoid of snakes/scorpions, that could be another reason to want...
I have (and love) the CVT Mt Mckinley. It is 8' wide. Plenty of room for you and the wife. Maybe a kid or two as well. Here is a link to the Denali > Its more or less the same tent except my Mckinley has an overhang above the ladders to attach an annex to...
Might be a typo in your post. It says you travel with 5 dogs. Nobody is that much of a glutton for punishment. The dog noise while traveling would drive me nuts :P.
We have a smallish boxer who loves to sleep with the family. I run an M101A3 with a truck cab on it and a RTT. The entrance to the tent is at about the 7 foot mark. Boxer dog, while not too heavy, is too squirmy to lift up and down from that height.
I recently picked up a 16' aluminum...
Still enjoying your photos and story.
FYI, I am pretty sure it's illegal to see Mt Rushmore, then eat Mexican food :P :sombrero:
Looking forward to more pics.
