Which vehicle? Have you checked the factory wiring harness? Are aux lights available from the factory? If so, then that would be a good place to look for wiring ideas. On my LR3, there is a special terminal for aux lights, a 5 pin. Having the wiring diagram makes a huge difference.

Consider an ARB portable Compressor. I've got the twin compressor in the suitcase. Its pretty much a champion. Also handy to throw in other vehicles when needed or leave in the garage when not needed. Would be a good compromise.

Also check Rock auto. I bought my Iridium plugs off of Rock auto for a very reasonable price. Rolled it in with wipers, air filter, cabin filter, and misc other items for the fleet, it was good!
