Yeah that's a real problem with having bumper on these Tacoma's with the deep snow. Going to the backcountry it just takes a heavy right foot to stay afloat of the 2-3' deep snow. You just have to pray you remember the road by heart and your co-pilot can kinda see. This is already past...

I drove the Trail Edition 4Runner at SEMA and looked under to see what was hanging low. There are some low hanging bits that are not where their ground clearance measurements are from.

there are other bits that hang seriously low on the new 4Runner. Namely the front crossmember and the crossmember/exhaust for the transmission. I wish I had a photo from SEMA but it was really low.

Got a chance to drive it yesterday on a little test track set up by Toyota USA. From what I could tell from the short drive is the A-track feels more aggressive than the on in the FJ. The crawl control is pretty decent, however, some driver input will be needed before the crawl control kicks...

hehe..... yeah snapped one the other day. It's off the iPhone. My friend there is about 6'2". I slept in it last night in -20 before going ski touring. Worked really well. I don't have a collapsed photo to show how high it sits.

I've got a RAM mount suction to the window. Now with the HP mini laptop i have a RAM mount stand for the laptop and the 76 goes in the console. I have an antenna that magnets to the roof for the GPS.
