We install a fair number of these in our Habitat's to power the auxiliary electronics. Functions very well and is easy to install. Run the 4 gauge wire back from the starter battery to the unit and you have a fully functioning dual battery set up. The Power Pack is connected via an Anderson...
Not to hijack the post, but AT posts both the price and weight of their topper on the website. As you and others are inferring it's not rocket science.
Now back to the original post.
The full size rear liftgate is 50.75" wide at the top, 63.5" at the bottom, and the top of the liftgate sits 21.5" off the rail of the truck.
There is a 0.75" internal lip top and sides. There are also gas struts and brackets to work with.
Hope that helps.
I have measured the hot air from the heater at 104'F. That will perish most flexible hose unless it's lined with reflective inner hose. Temperature ratings on ducting is rated for 10 minutes you see the damage when you exceed that point.
I think you have to ask yourself did Howling Moon drop the distributors, or did the distributors drop Howling Moon. The answer to this question could be quite telling.
An 8ft awning won't work in front of the strut, and if it's attached to the lid the awning rotates as the lid is opened.
Hold off brackets maybe the answer. Something substantial made from stainless would be best, needs to be isolated from the aluminum skin.
That will be a challenge because of the gas strut locations and the support pole locations. I haven't looked into it too deeply it may be possible if something was attached to the roof rack tracks. I'll mull it over next week.
Teotwaki, sorry you are having all these issues with Chris, he can sometimes be a little difficult to deal with but I think that is true for many of us entrepreneurs, myself included. If there is anything I can do to help let me know.
The Max Coupler has gone through a range of modifications...
That is a good setup. I'd try to mimic the load in the bed to see how it rides. If the back end is low you can add Ride Rite bags with Daystar air bag cups.
With 250k on my 7.3 I wasn’t surprised when I started hearing some knocking from the engine. At first I thought it was time to replace the injectors but something told me to investigate further. As it turned out a good choice as performing that work would not have solved the problem.

We installed a Swift FWC on a friends Gen I Tacoma, they had a double cab with a 5ft bed. Two issues that have to be dealt with. The first is the set up requires external tie downs, which we don't like so we directly bolted the camper to the bed. Not an issue just something to think about.
The...
The latches are EPDM and are rated to -50C so you are good there.
The gas struts are 250lbs each and provide assistance in opening and closing. As with all struts their efficiency is reduced by low temperature. There is a balance here in having struts that in temperatures above freezing provide...
We run aircraft track the length of the roof on both sides. If you don't want cross bars you could add studs or rings in the track to tie your gear down.
We did not suppply the hardware for the U.K. Manufactured Chasers, so I don't know what latch you have. We'd be happy to supply you with the latches we source here in the US. E-mail me at martyn@adventuretrailers.com with a shipping address and I'll work on an estimate for you.
