    FWC wiring question

No adapter that I know of. You can rewire to a 7 pin no problem. Three wires, ground, 12 volt power, and ground. The smaller campers are not wired for lights.

    Breathing stove gas.

The real issue at hand seems to be completely combustion vs. incomplete combustion. Two things to think about, incomplete combustion due to faulty equipment, and incomplete combustion due to lack of air, such as in an enclosed space. Both are dangerous, but we need a dash of common sense here...

    AT Tacoma Habitat: Official Thread

We are currently designing a number of accessories for the Habitat. The rear Mozi net isnt currently on that list, but the net it probably going to be simple to DIY as there are plenty of attachment points in the rear of the Habitat and the rear of the vehicle.

    Breathing stove gas.

Complex question as you really have to define what safe is. If it's the carbon monoxide you are worried about then I would imagine it is a low risk from a cooking stove as combustion is close to complete as the air flow is so high to the burner. Catalytic converters on the other hand are...

    AT Tacoma Habitat: Official Thread

We tried to make the Habitat to be as universal a fit as possible. Unfortunately vehicle manufacturers don't play by the same rules. I'd be happy to re-evaluate the fit for your vehicle but I'm guessing Mario has already measured up a Ridgeline and found out it is outside the parameters.

Have you sent us the measurements of the bed? We would need bed width inside and outside taken at the front, middle and rear. Bed length inside and outside along the bed rail and in the middle. Height from bed rail to top of cab, and in this case to the top of the factory roof bars. Once we...

3" clearance between the roof of the cab and the underside of the Habitat. Just enough room for a K9 table. The Habitat is around 8" high above the cab.

The airbags are only going to help level the rear of a truck. The movement is transmitted through the bag to the suspension, may even be amplified by the bags. The only way to completely remove movement is to stabilize the chassis, as with the idea of using a hi-lift. The movement is going to...

With the sleeping platforms in place there is no room for the bedding, just enough room for the mattress, tent, and poles.

    AT Tacoma Habitat: Official Thread

The Flippac had a direct support down to the side of the hood to stabilize the overhang. The supports were placed about 3/4 of the way out on the lid so the force was almost directly downwards and close to over the front axle. The Habitat has more of a cantilever as the supports are closer to...

Solar Panel meets dual battery issues

That's an important piece of information. So go ahead and check your solar system as I previously described to find out if the 18 volts is coming from the solar controller. Disconnect the solar first to take a reading to confirm that the battery system is in the normal 13-14 volt range...

Solar Panel meets dual battery issues

You do have a problem and it needs to be fixed to prevent further damage to you electrical system. First disconnect the solar system or pull the fuse from it. This will isolate the dual battery system from the solar system. Check to make sure the dual battery system is wired per the...

AT Habitat coming to the F-150?

The best part about my job is dreaming up the ideas. The hardest part is not being able to get everything into production for what ever reason.

AT Habitat coming to the F-150?

No scaling up isn't that complex. We have the design modeled in SolidWorks so we can scale the whole design. The issue is that not all 6.5 ft beds are 6.5 ft and not all 8 ft beds are 8ft. Fords are particularly difficult as they have exceptionally tall cabs. If we can come up with a design...

AT Habitat coming to the F-150?

Yes it's true. There will be a 6.5 ft Habitat on a Dodge at Expo West next month, and 5.5ft versions in our next production run.

    AT Tacoma Habitat: Official Thread

We have tested the Habitat down to around 20'F without a heater. The main thing we learned was that the composite panel under the mattress and the 2" thick mattress do an amazing job keeping the cold out. So you can actually sleep on a mattress that isn't ice cold. The Habitat also utilizes...

    AT Tacoma Habitat: Official Thread

I'm working on this right now. Unfortunately it's not a linear thing where I can just pop out an answer. Each one of the builds is different and varies from simple to complex. We have a finite amount of space we can build in, allowing us to work on five or six Habitats at a time. We are...

Best way to change lug pattern?

Just for clarity there is a difference between spacers and adapters. Spacers are discs that you slide over the wheel studs that push the tire/wheel combination outwards. They are usually thin, less than 1", as the spacer uses up available wheel stud length. Adapters can be anything up to...
