I vote GMT-800 3/4 ton series trucks. Whether Silverado or Sierra either one with a 6.0l would be a great canidate for your needs. Cheaper to maintain than a diesel but will still pull a respectable amount. A truck is a truck therefore use it as a truck, and don't expect it to be luxurious on...
I didnt think about the kayak and MTB being transported on the trailer. This thing could no means be a trailer you take to the rocks due the rocks but for what my truck it can do its perfect. Is there any way to put longer leaf springs under it for a little more flex?
And I am just curious to...
Hello from the Granite Capitol of The World,
Homemade 5'x10' flatbed utility trailer. Made by my grandfather to haul smaller loads of granite monuments years ago. For the ones that do not know what they are they are head stones, but most of the time larger. A monument usually weighs between...
New to me 3 Wheels and 4 Tires. 17"x8" ATX Ledge Teflon coated & 285/75R17 Kelly TSR w/ around 4,000 miles on them. The trick was that one wheel is busted due to a wreck so a new wheel is on order.
A few weeks ago I took my spare out from under the truck since it was a 265 and I run 285s. I...
Well scraped up some old pictures today and figured I would create a build thread! Enjoy!
The day I got it. It was immediatley named White Lightnin' after an old George Jones song about moonshine.
This is one of the biggest snows I've ever seen here. The year after this we had a snow a couple...
I always over think electrical projects so I have a few questions
Both batterys are being charged with the one alternator?
Many people with silverados do what they call a "Big 3 Upgrade" with 1/0 gauge wire, would it hurt if I used 1/0 to replace all the 4 ga.?
Here is a link to the Big 3.. it...

The inverter installed on this truck...could someone please educate me on the brand, model, and power output? Thanks!
I swapped the tails and harness from my dads 04, then bought that valence used. I am wanting a HD hood, Z71 tahoe bumpers/ caps, and Z71 tahoe grille. The brushguard is off of a 03 Tahoe I believe.
Yes, but I broke some of the plastic push pins, sip ties took care of that though. I ordered some ebay fogs and they bolted up and use the stock connector. I like the look of the valence plus it does away with the shaky fog lights.
That would be Daystar Leveling Keys cranked to level w/stock blocks out back. worn 285's (about to change with some 17x8's and 285 TSR's). The brush guard is a Westin Sportsman, and the brackets let me run my tow hooks also! And the guard was bought used for $160..:ylsmoke:
