If you go to one of my first threads you will see that I fitted just normal available rubber flare material in 75mm width. This has also been fitted to Candy's Canter and I know Bris 31 did the same. At a lot less cost.

Wheels can still spin when fitted with a limited slip diff but that is certainly a lot of spin, must have had a front wheel spinning as well because otherwise you would think it would still have had forward motion.
No front Locker/Atb centre.

Clearance issues with Dual Cabs are worse as with a single cab we can route some of our pipe work to the rear of the engine. Not as much room back there on a dual cab. Can't help you with a source in Victoria but I would talk to "Alan" on site here or at Outback Accessories in Seaford.

Yes they are hard to source (Michelin xzl 255/100r16 tyres). Now you need to know the width of the rims. If they are 8" or wider then there are a lot of different tyres that will fit. I run 315/75x16" ,only in the 35" range. Some 325/85x16s may be able to go on 8" rims that you would need to...
Sorry but you can't have 16.5" rims and be running 16" tyres as they wouldn't be sitting on the beads. Those tyres should run real well at low pressure as that was the tyre of choice for years doing beach work.
You could go 17" rims by Goanna Tracks and run their Trailmaster 37" Tyre but these...
Transfer case can't pressurize unless the breather is blocked. The breather for the gearbox and transfer case are joined together on top of the gearbox (T-piece) and runs up to the rear of the engine near the fuel filter (on 2000 model). Believe the same on later models. Yes the seal can leak...
Man you need to stay home, all this driving around must be making you tired. ----
Another great write up. It sounds like you have a good crowd over there to help you out when problems like this arise. Good on them and I would say that they want you to keep going so that they can also follow...
My idea is if you are going to a 3" exhaust why would you leave a restriction in the system (original exhaust brake). It will certainly help the turbo by opening it up to 3" - faster spool up. By how much only you will know after it is done. Dyno before and after would be good but that also...
Yes there are a few places that do rub as in at the corners of the radiator but at this stage are not a real problem. Where it made contact with my after market turbo we modded the cab a little. Yes we get a lot of movement of the cab when we are traveling offroad but if you stiffen it up too...
It's good that you got it out of the mud. If you go in through the side plate, you see the main linkage that feeds forward to the 4WD engagement area and the high/low slider gear.
Dan.
Okay 2 vacuum chambers - one is to engage 4WD the other is low range. Try to engage 4WD and give a little assistance on the lever that is attempting to move with a block of wood (NOT BELT the S--- out of it). Could be sticky lever, where it runs through the seals, could be faulty vacuum chamber...
Okay cable or vacuum shift to the transfer case? Disengage hubs - engine off - if cable shift - climb under and have someone to move shifter in the vehicle while you are rotating front shaft by hand. You won't see anything move as it is all enclosed but you may be able to feel if something is...
Why wouldn't you run the fridges on 24v. Less current draw. You could also upgrade your alternator to a higher output. Lot less trouble. Redarc also make step down transformers to run your fridges if 12v on 24v system.
Welcome to the forum,
Dan.
That I can't really tell you other than it never made any difference to my running temperature. So I believe the air flow to the radiator is the same or enough. Running along tracks that are only two wheel tracks with grass in between you never know what is hidden in the grass and it only takes...
Pretty similar to what I have other than I used 3mm bisalloy plate and actually bent the front edge up a little. For our trip across the desert I added 6mm weave stainless mesh from the leading edge to the front chassis rail to stop spinifex and other objects from staking the radiator.

They are lasting well. The set that we fitted to Candy's Canter Has done two off road trips and are still looking good. I haven't fitted a set to mine as I'm using the bushes that I had purchased earlier and only replacing the broken ones till I run out.
