We decided that our maiden voyage would be a trip to Camano Island to camp with my cousin and his family. When my daughter heard plan she decided she wanted to go, so time to add another seat and sleeping platform. I purchased Sienna seat from e-Bay and had a seat base from U-joint that I...
Adding the window. The most unnerving change was cutting the window into the side. I installed an Arctic Tern Double-Pane RV Window(450x900mm) on the driver's side rear just above the headboard for the bed. The best part was just prior to making the cut, I realized that the outline shown on...
U-joint Conversion. The U-Joint design and attention to detail are simply better than the factory specs. The end product is nothing short of 4wd conversion art. Let Justin guide the process. He is a walking E-series encyclopedia (Wikipedia for you youngsters). The supply chain delays are real...
Omg as a former California resident (about 20 yr ago), I do not miss the bureaucracy and rules. In MT, older vehicles, like my van, have permanent registration!
I know some RV'ers open a LLC in MT and register their RVs in the LLC. I have friends that have done this and I could certainly...
I am ready to sell and will entertain all reasonable offers. I have put it up on eBay, but would much rather sell it to a forum member.
This could be you camping in the Tetons. My email is dave @truzinski.com (no space between 'dave and @) and my mobile is 303.319.62 seven seven
Recently bought and installed a Rack N Ride on my ambo conversion. I did not want to compress my front shocks, so I found a peg mounted rack. These are from Australia and the quality is amazing. That is the optional 6' aluminum ramp. I just idled it up. The kit comes with everything including...
Here is a more detailed list of options that were added in the last 5 years. This is more like a 2017 with 40k on everything but the engine :). No special ULSD diesel, no def, no problem heading south of the border or overseas.
6" Coil springs in front and leafs in rear
4.10 gears
Stage 2...
Yes seats 3 in Sienna seats and sleeps 4. There are two opposing bench seats that were originally designed to have seat belts, but the buyer chose to not install seat belts in those locations. You could add seat belts and then seat 5.
And now the pics of the hidden potty!
No potty here..btw that is a tuft and needle mattress. Notice the huge center drawer, heater vent on right and table mount in the center.
and now for the potty reveal. Those are opposing seats and the dining table mounts between them
@WU7X @Tacojohma Pics of the undercarriage. Some light scale rust on frame best seen in pic with the ARB air compressor. Thanks for making me crawl underneath it, b/c I forgot to mention that I added a 4" Diamond Eye turbo back exhaust which helps keep the EGTs down. Boost and EGT gauge on...
After responding to some PMs I have decided to update with some additional details.
The freshwater tank is 20g and is located inside. The gray tank is also 20g and it is located underneath just in front of the rear Aluminess bumper.
We have dual cooking options: a propane two burner Dometic...
Some pics of the storage and top up. The entire under bed platform is storage. There are compartments along the driver's and passenger side, a huge pullout drawer in the middle, and 3 drawers accessed from the back. There are also 3 cabinets on the driver' side of the bed.
Oh I am so going to regret this. Three years ago I found this Unicorn hiding in Jaskson Hole, WY. The history of this is relatively short. In 2017, someone decided to take this base 2003 E350 cargo van and build an incredible expedition-worthy, yet very comfortable rig. First it went to U-Joint...
I have built and owned on both platforms (2 Fuso FG140's and one Ram 5500). If freeway driving, comfort, and safety are in your top goals, then the answer (IMHO) is Ford/Ram.
The Fuso's are seriously underpowered for US freeway speeds of 70-80, have factory suspension that is akin to riding...
