I installed an espar hydronic in parallel into my heating system. I used Y connectors to tap the heater lines and then ran 3/4 silicon heater hose wrapped in pipe insulation to the heater 15 feet away. With the espar, you have a recirculation pump, but that is not used when I am driving and...
the 19.5's are steel dually wheels, not the super single ATWs. You can find them on just about any 6 lug commercial truck as an up-fitter option. The alum wheels on the truck are from EarthCruiser.
We are nearly neighbors...I am at the Loch Leven fishing access in Paradise Valley. This is truly a great off roader with the 5.71 gears and posi in the rear. The Duratrac 315's give awesome ground clearance and the ATW suspension keeps the wheels on the ground. No labor trades at this time...
Thanks...I too am surprised. When I was looking there was nothing other than abused rust buckets! When I found one that had been properly maintained and always an RV, I jumped at it. I am Fuso addicted, so if it has to be used as a pickup in the meantime, I am fine with that outcome. But in...
@Keyne, thanks for looking at the rig. From the headache rack to the end of the flatbed is 10'. It makes sense, as the separate front gear boxes are app 3', making the total bed ~13'. These trucks do 13-14' setups very nicely.
For the record, the speed limit is 65mph on that pass for trucks and 75mph for autos...w/o the camper the 2004 will do the pass at 50-55mph! Still not the speed limit for trucks :) If you want to go fast, buy a big American made truck with a diesel engine. If you want the ultimate turning radius...
Box was built by Race Coaches of Milan GA in 2005 under the design of the previous owner. It's a thin walled rectangular steel exoskeleton with sheetmetal siding. The top and floor are metal covered plywood. The only beefy steel is the cross member for the pivot. This camper has been to Alaska...
OK the DMV process was simple. We have a form MV50 which is a certification that the camper is permanently affixed to the chassis, has plumbing, electric, refrigeration and cooking systems. That form need to be signed by sheriff or highway patrol and taken to DMV. About $100 in fees later, the...
It was a custom built box 13' long 7' wide. It had fixed rear mount and front pivot. Pic with camper on 2004 and flatbed on 2007. Now they are swapped and the 2004 has the flatbed...I will throw in a set of steel 19.5" wheels with m608s mounted (tires in fair condition)..look closely and you...
Dave, yes ATW is All Terrain Warriors and these are their parabolic. I bought them and installed them last Fall. Since the springs and wheels, I have put less than 4k miles on the truck. I don't think FusoFG had a build thread, but he was meticulous about the maintenance and care of his rig. He...
Those diag lights are awesome. It pointed me to the RR speed sensor. I removed it, blew out the port in the rear of the brake housing with some air, check the cable resistance all the way to the ABS controller. Reassembled everything and drove 10' and presto the light went off. Thanks for the...
If you have been following my posts, you will realize that I bought a 2007 Fuso and moved my camper from the 2004 to the 2007. This truck was originally FusoFG's and was an expo rig from day one. No plow use or heavy commercial use. It has <74K original miles and has never been in an accident...
