I thought about that and could not find any evidence of wire damage in the mounting areas. This is certainly the most likely scenario. Do you know if there is a test tool to troubleshoot the ABS system?
It is interesting, as the 2007 started out just fine and came on after 100 miles of driving. Now it is on constantly. The 2004 came on within 5 miles of driving and has always been on. It has been driven over 50 miles.
I have just completed the swap of a flatbed from my 2007 to my 2004 and a camper from my 2004 to my 2007. Now both trucks are running, all electrical and plumbing connections are re-established, and both trucks have the ABS light lit! No fuses are blown (checked dash and high current box fuses)...
Got a check oil switch and temp sending unit from Tom's Truck Center (they have a full line of Fuso parts and give you a discount from retail!). Gait was correct, the switch was bad and the relay has quit chattering. Fortunately Bobar (Bob) had stopped in with his 2007 EC EXP and explained that...
BoBar (Barbie and Bob) stopped in for a visit in their 2007 Fuso Fg Earthcruiser EXP. We really enjoyed meeting them and I expect to travel together at some point. We had a great evening and share many common interest beyond the Fusos. Speaking of Fusos. their rig is an awesome; while I am...
Photos when I get back...am out of the country on biz. My wife went to DMV and did not have the titles in had which confused the clerk. Anyway, we are going to compare the titles...it is possible that they are both just 'trucks' and the insurance separates them into commercial use and RV. Will...
Going to learn more tomorrow at DMV, but I suspect I have to change registration and the Title will remain the same. Insurance will also have to flip from Commercial to RV for the 2007 and Rv to Commercial for the 2004...should be an interesting process.
Transplanting a camper: from a 2004 FG to a 2007 FG
I am going to have to change the title of this thread, as I have purchased a 2007 FG with 13k original miles and most importantly, no rust. Right now the trucks are at Midwest Welding & Machine in Bozeman MT getting a transplant. The camper...
The One I Bought - an update
Here is a pic of the one I purchased. I spent two hours getting the dust out of the cab, but other than that it is in perfect condition! I drove it 800 miles from Bend to Livingston in one day. Sweet spot seemed to be 68 mph, but could easily do 75 mph. Right both...
yes this is getting back to SkiFreak's idea of fabbing some parts. I can remove the additional plate and eliminate all possibilities of metal bits falling into the tank.
The problem is that neither the Wallas fuel pump, nor the Espar is capable of filling that larger inlet. I think I have to fab two lines into the existing blank plate with 3-5mm fuel pickup lines. Am I missing something with this line of reasoning?
@SkiFreak, my 2004 has a 2nd tank which has a custom fitting with 2 pick-ups on it. I don't think the plate mounting holes will line up with my 2007's tank, and I was hoping this "fitting" was something available in the market. If not, you are right and I need to fab something to work.
Fuel Pickup Line Plate/Plumbing
ok while I await a new Check Oil Level switch and temperature sending unit, I have moved on the next problem. I am moving my custom built box from the 2004 to a 2007. I noticed that the 2007's fuel tank has a blank plate on top for additional fuel feed lines...
@gait - the relays are on the passenger side behind the glove compartment (where the service manual is kept). The check oil relay is in the bottom row leftmost first or second relay...I just put my dash back together and don't recall which of the two positions it was.
Ok Fuso experts, I have two riddles to solve. I just got my new to me 2007 Fuso home with a whopping 14,000 miles on it. The temp gauge is not working, it pegs after 3 minutes of driving and the truck is certainly not running hot. Also, the relay for the oil level check gets hot and is...
On my 2004, the service manual has the direction of adjustment backwards...if you adjust according to the instructions and things don't get better, try the opposite direction.
