We just spent time in haines and skagway, and tonight im boarding a ferry for bellingham. wish we could spend time exploring islands, but this has to do for now
Lol all about perception. You say youd like to spend more time in a 4x4, id like health insurance and a retirement plan haha. Though I still will choose to work the rest of my life without retirement if it means I get to spend more time in nature. :)
Sorry for the long gaps in posts guys! Im up in AK starting the trip from Dead horse to Cabo san Lucas lol. Should be quite the adventure but it will take me away from my project at the moment. :/
Yeah I think that the ARB kit is perfect for this generation of vehicle. I don't know too much about yours, but im sure they didnt put anything out of reasonable tolerances
Mine did great off-road with stock height and taller tires. Theyre surprisingly capable and you really dont need much to...
Yeah I definitely thought about that. In the end I realized that I can already sleep inside, and I could add a 270 awning and get all the living space I need. The cash for the conversion seemed not worth it. (meaning im too poor to afford it lol)
Man I think im going to steal that front end! Haha. Nice work
17s are the best sized wheel for these trucks IMO, but if you tow huge trailers the smaller the wheel the more the flex in the side wall. Of course on the flip side more rubber is better when it comes to dirt performance. If I were...
Yeah I was worried about them looking too small, but until I regear I really dont want to run 37s. 3.73s should be just about right for the 35s.
When I regear then things will get really fun haha

Id check some military surplus sites for hardigg cases. I bought two MASSIVE ones in great shape for $80 bucks. These suckers have wheels and one can kit all of my recovery gear, tools, gloves, manuals. and spares.
Hey yall Id like to copy something over from another thread that I think is important to acknowledge. Everyone in this industry works this way but few people ask the writers and fewer writers answer, so here ya go.
- Question posed to me - Are any of the products or services that you've shown...
Haha no worries
Ill start and end this response with WE DO NOT WRITE ADVERTORIAL.
Some of the items going onto the truck I will pay full price for, some will be discounted, it just depends. The reality is that journalism companies can't afford to buy a bunch of products just to review them...
Yeah the v10 has returned a good life span average from what I hear. In today's market I would be willing to bet that you could buy a V10 and with the extra gas burned it would still be much cheaper than the 7.3 in the long run. The disadvantage? You lose the range
