I was going to ask that too, that kind of rock damage to a tire, and all the jumping you mention; happens mostly when running full pressure.
But anyhow, it looks like the trip, according to those beautiful pics; was worth it.
The Bursum Road
We woke up to a very nice cool morning... and after enjoying a nice cup of coffee and a hot bowl of menudo we just relaxed for awhile, we broke camp and continued our trek west on the Bursum Road, towards Mogollon...

Last weekend we finally got to go out again and do what we love. This time we went with some good friends we met down in Chihuahua last spring and some we met for the first time, but having the same love for the outdoors it felt like we had known them for a long time and had a great time...
That afternoon, we continued up river for a few more miles before calling it a day.

The following day we went to Cd. Delicias to do some shopping, eat some delicious and authentic mexican food, we visited a very nice paleontology museum (unfortunately somehow I lost those pictures) and...
Thanks. Chihuahua is mostly known for the Sierra Madre areas (Creel, copper canyon, Basaseachic, etc.) but there's a lot of other "unknown" jewels out there on the desert part of the state. I'll start talking with my friends down there and see if we can put a route together.
Yes MK, although next year is going to be somewhere else, we can go there anytime we want. These areas, the central and southern parts of Chihuahua have always been very safe, even at the peak of the cartel wars, which happened mainly at the border and the sierras; and now it looks like pretty...

The following day, we declined to run the other trails as there was a very high possibility of body damage, and this jeep "belongs" to my wife.... and I wouldn't want to take any chances...of me sleeping out with the dog..haha..
So we went to a place someone had recommended before, the Colibri...
The camping area was very nice... by this cliff near the river. This is supposed to be one of the best fishing spots below the Rosetilla Dam, which is located about three miles up river from this place. I would like to come back here in the future when it's quieter.

Event...
We pressed on and continued the trail up in the sierra for several more miles and got at the gathering/camping area before the rest of the groups who were still doing their trails. They had everything ready for the party and were still cooking diner.

The other trails
We continued on through some small towns and fields until we reached the Conchos river.
Then got into this road that followed the Rio Conchos up on the desert side of the river up and down a bunch of hills until we finally went down and began crossing the river itself.
We made another...
