    FWC Fleet on Tacoma?

OK the unofficial work I got back from ARB is that they have an in house engineer in North America who will be developing product specific to the Chevy Colorado. They are also very hopeful that the existing products they have internationally will also fit. This is great news.

I'll make a point to find out.

    FWC Fleet on Tacoma?

There are many suspension upgrades for the Holden Colorado which is the Australian version. I don't think it will be long before ARB brings something in. They already offer lockers, suspension, snorkels, battery kits and long range tanks for the Aussie market

    FWC Fleet on Tacoma?

The Tacoma can handle the Fleet FWC with air bags at a minimum, beyond that you are looking at a suspension upgrade, something from ICON or ARB possibly. A different vehicle is an option. The Chevy Colorado is getting great reviews, very popular in Australia, its less than the Tacoma and you...

    AT Tacoma Habitat: Official Thread

A few variables you have to look at and measure. What length bed do you have? How long is your roof line compared to a double cab.

    AT Tacoma Habitat: Official Thread

Nothing I can lay my hands on over the weekend. Really isn't that interesting, just looks like the inside of a camper shell. The tent material is held in place either three carpeted boards or the additional sleeping panels.

    AT Shop Truck F250 Build

Managed to convince the guy at the shop they could squeeze in my rear bumper fabrication and extend the tow hitch out to the rear bumper. Things look good now, next on the agenda the headache rack.

    AT Shop Truck F250 Build

Pressures of work forced the truck into use early. It just brought to bare the fact that I need to design the headache rack and get it built and installed quickly. I also need to extend the tow hitch closer to the end of the bed to prevent jackknifing when I use the flatbed trailer. Oh, and get...

    Grandby layout question

Sorry, for some reason I thought you were considering a Hawk not a Grandby. The extra length you gain in the Grandby is made up by extending the seating in the front dinette for four people. So as dscobell and bill harr say there would be room to sit when the bed was pulled out.

    Grandby layout question

Casey, with the front dinette you lose the front seating area when you pull the bed out. With the side dinette you lose one seat and are left with the back seat and the table available. For some people the front dinette is not a problem as they get up and go to bed at the same time, or they...

    AT Shop Truck F250 Build

While I never plan to go extreme with a full size truck I've often ended up there by mistake!! I don't think we are going to come close to the point of damaging a camper from flex.

    AT Shop Truck F250 Build

It's something we took into consideration during the design process, and when we looked at the characteristics of the material, the length of the welds, and how the components would interact with each other in the Overland environment we decided the method of construction was more than capable...

    AT Shop Truck F250 Build

Great idea about putting the fuel fill in the headache rack. Filled the truck up this morning with 18 gallons of diesel. No issues at all. Don't know if you can see it in the picture but we drew a small line on the back of the cab showing the height of the stock filler, the filler on the...

    AT Shop Truck F250 Build

Thanks, we are using a different construction method from the standard flatbed to achieve the low profile, the lowest point on the bed of this truck sits 2" above the tire when the suspension is sitting on the bump stop. As you say it has it's challenges, the biggest seems to be the fuel fill...

    AT Shop Truck F250 Build

The aluminum flatbed is 12" longer than the stock bed and right now the tow hitch is at the stock length so I'm thinking the towing performance will remain the same. We may extend the tow hitch by 6" or so in the future to help with backing up. The snorkel is a prototype that came from ARB...
