I bought the doors, fan, hinge and star gazer window from http://teardroptrailerparts.com/ . The window dimensions are 9" by 44" and 2 3/16 width. We had to thicken the area where the window was going to make it fit right. You can call them, Frank is the owner he will help you out with any...
It's been a very productive week. The sleeping cabin is complete, the only thing it needs now is the mattress.
On to the kitchen. This is where the power box is, the batteries, the refrigerator, the propane, stove and the water tank. Water will be gravity fed under the counter top on...

If you are looking for inexpensive and small a Harbor Freight trailer or one from Lowes or Home Depot works well. The trailer on the far right of the picture is a trailer for lawn mowers that has a RTT mounted on it. It works well and can be removed easily to use the trailer for other...
Well it's time for some updates, sorry it took so long but I've been very busy with work and have not had much time to update the page.
First off the floor was installed.
Also started on the inside walls. Looking from the outside, the wires have been run for the electric.
A few shots...
Jerry, will you be coming to the Expo East this year? One of our camping buddies has one and we all love it. The Scottle will be the perfect addition to my camping kit. I'm looking to get one at the Expo East if you are there.

The frame is stripped down and painted.
Installing the floor, the bottom layer was painted on both sides with herculiner (weather resistant paint).
Then a layer of insulation.
The insulation is sandwiched between plywood. Both...
Test fit of the awning, it will be the perfect size for the trailer.
The doors, window, fan and awning were all removed to get ready for painting. But first it went out for a test drive today, it towed great no issues.
From the left and right sides it is right behind the jeep, not...

The doors, front window, fan, fan cover and rear door hinge were all sourced through Vintage Technologies http://teardroptrailerparts.com/Home_Page.html. The owner of the company Frank has built a couple of hundred tear drop trailers and is happy to give advise and help with your build.
The...

My trailer opens from the passenger side, the thought was the safety factor when considering which way to open it. Pulling off the road and opening it. Also when backed into my garage it works well for me with the way it is set up. I would not go with the hinge in the front for two reasons 1...
A little more progress. Both doors are fitted and framed out. The top vent is also fitted and framed out.
The front star gazer window is framed and fitted for install.
