I don't believe that the AEV 2.5" lift would have any adverse effect on the drive shaft. Geometry correction brackets are not required for the lift but can be added. Never see an issue like this with any of the AEV lifts AT has done. From the original post it sounds like the lift was done well...
From my experience of living in snow country for over 30 years (thankfully now living in AZ and loving the winters). California R2 requires just the drive tires to be chained up, unless you have 4WD with snow tires, if it get to R3 either go to a Motel or wait until the road clears.
Make sure...
One of the ways to increase or decrease the amount of required spring in a torsion bar is to adjust the bars thickness. A heavier lid requires a thicker stronger torsion bar. Add weight to the lid and factor in the multiplier for the distance of that weight from the pivot point and you have a...
We have been selling Fiamma Awnings for years. They really are a wonderful product. If you are looking for 3 or 4 wall enclosures for the awnings AT can have them locally made in Prescott.
In a nut shell, a Hawk in a stock F150 is no problem. If the rear starts to sag because of all your aftermarket goodies then air bags will work for you. Airlift makes a great kit that will work for you. Mainline Overland is your local FWC dealer, give them a call to discuss your needs, these...
No problems with the 4.7L engine in our 99 GC. Owned it since 2002 have replaced a water pump, brake booster, radiator, power steering pump. Fiddled witht he terminals on the rear light a few time to keep them working. Around 170K on the engine.
OK, so how did they test batteries, and what were the actual results?
I presume they would have load tested them. Do you have the actual results, or can you take them to an auto parts store and ask them to test the batteries and get the actual results.
Without this information we are nowhere.
Shogun, when we install NL Dual Battery Systems we advise the vehicle owners to turn the display off if they are not using their vehicles for a few days. This helps in maintaining the charge on the batteries. Turning off the display is easily done by holding down a button on the display for 5...
While there is some truth in what you have said, the major factor is that not all panels are created equal. Some panels produce exceptional amperage even in indirect light while other produce less than is advertized in full sunlight. We have seen panels that produce more amps than they say they...
There wouldn't be a huge difference in the axle components between the 5000lb axle and the 3500lb but the brake backing plates and braked hubs for the 5500 is considerable.
That's informative Willman. Both Eezi Awn and Howling Moon use poly cotton for their tent fabric. Poly-cotton consists of a polyurethane core with cotton spun around it, it's the cotton that absorbs the applied treatments, and treatments can be applied using many methods, the polyurethane core...
Wilman, it's not quite so simple as flyingwil makes it out to be.
Both brands are really good. The main difference between then would be found in the fabric.
Eezi Awn uses a fabric that is made in one of two mills left in the world that does all the fabric construction and treatment in house...
The difference is in the size of the spindle where it welds into the end of the tube. The 1750lb spindle is going to be too small for the 3" tube unless you modify the tubing. Buying a new complete axle is an inexpensive option.
Unless you specifically want the larger bearings the 10" brakes on 3500 lb axle should be fine for your needs. Going to the larger brake hub has a huge increase in the weight of the axle.
Yes it's a new improved design. The older version worked well, unfortunately the assembly instructions were not being followed by everyone, so the product had to be "idiot proofed". All that has to be done now is to bolt the coupler onto the draw bar. This would seem to work for the people with...
We use DT for fabrication. They are a very solid company to deal with. All of their products are designed in Solidworks, laser cut, and computerized bent. Dave from DT has a desert racing background and he knows the Dodge trucks like the back of his hand. All of their product are well thought...
