Unsatisfied with the above listed services I opted to roll my own. I put an iFolder server up on Amazon's EC2 platform (not related to their recently announced service). I get: True cross platform sync - Windows, OSX, Linux No per installation client charges/licenses $.012/GB - no free...

I think the steering joint is called a rag joint but it's a little different - two prongs sticking out like the top of the letter T and it slots into a matching set of grooves. It came with two vacuum wipers but they weren't functional while pulling a hill. Since driving up steep snowy grades...

    any international harvesters here?

That's nearly the long term plan, turbo 196, Ford EDIS ignition, and a couple side draft carbs on 33" tires.

Oregon freeways are only 65 so it's not too bad, we get left in the dust once we make it out of state though. justih.org is a good place to check out for Binder specific stuff. GM 4.3v6's and Cummins 4bt are popular swaps.

    any international harvesters here?

Nice. If you like Scouts Vote for this one. We're actually working to keep the original drive train in ours. While the 152 is a little small I think a well prepped 196 would be sufficient for running down most trails. Might even be enough for freeway travel.

Oldest Expo vehicle still in use...

I've got a 1963 that's headed out for it's first overland type trip this summer. Maybe even thru Arizona if you vote for it.

Word over at BinderPlanet is that it will, but not fast. Which pretty much describes any Scout. They're basically road going tractors.

It does - there's two existing steel "bows" that hold the shape for the steel top, you can see the front one at the very top edge of the picture: I was thinking of leaving them but if I cut the middle out of them the remaining portion could be the pocket for a removable rod and I could even...

I bought this '63 for parts and it was so nice I couldn't bear to part it out and sold it for what I bought it for. Two years ago when we were on reduced hours I cleaned out the fuel system on a '70 SR2 in trade for this '66. Took the 3 speed out of mine (a 600 mile trip thru the mountains...

What type of compressor do you use?

Cheap n nasty for now. I've added a newer model A/C bracket capable of holding a York compressor!

Summer time with the top off is the best thing ever. Spring/Fall/Winter with the top off is the worst thing ever. The solid steel top takes two people and lots of little bolts to get on/off. I generally pack a tarp and pull it over the windshield frame and hide under it during the passing...
