Yes very successful and pleasant day. I worked out that there are places in AZ that don't roast your nuts every time you work on the truck. Very nice location, weather and hospitality. Now for the truck part. Yes I have an MRAP bumper on my Ambo. Ross had the basic plates already cut out and...

Embellish!! How dare you sire! Don't let anyone delude you into thinking I will let the truth get in the way of a good story.

We are on our way. It's bumper pickup day. [emoji1][emoji603][emoji374][emoji120] Scooter and Ozrockrat's field trip to Flagstaff. Without adult supervision. Stay tuned for teenager type book face and instant gram reports without the book face and instant gram.

Mine is outside. Drivers side probably #2 at the top. Bottom of the cabinet is about 5' 9" off the ground.

Finally got a new compressor. I think the problem was actually cultural/language. The guy I was working with definitely had English as his 2nd language (generally I prefer working with the latino parts guys because they are more fix than replace it) and American is definitely my second language...

That's good to know they all (Medic Master) had it. When I was originally overthinking the situation I was trying to work out where the harness might of rubbed to cause a phantom feed to 2 opposing lights like that. What are the chances that 2 lights on opposite corners would have the same...

Countdown 6 days to departure: After discovering this (no gas in the AC again) I ordered up a UV flashlight (and found the one I had as soon as Amazon delivered it). Here is the results of a quick flash around the engine bay. Looks like an alien but it is actually the compressor back/base and...

From Freightliner ambulance to RV - we hope!

I think you will find that it is the hours reading in the tacho and the odometer sits in the speedo. What I was referencing was the tacho uses an output from tone ring/sensor somewhere on the engine to give a set number of pulses per revolution. Some engines take this directly off the crank...

Being a lazy bugger I would leave them on there. Doesn't really matter either way. It is supposed to adjust for it with or without the weights.

Probably for the same type of reason. Calibrate it to the tone ring pickup combination of the engine.

Wait until Sunday then you will think your truck is like riding in a Rolls Royce. [emoji1] I have not had an alignment done yet. Too many things keep getting in the way. And until I settle on axles and suspension it's not worth the effort. Although I did seriously consider getting one done...

Don't rush in case they don't work for me. I am hoping/guessing that they will be OK but the proof will be in the vibration tests.

No approvals needed for the booster. It is nothing special but I will try to do some testing and put the results in here. But it will keep the missus happy (facebook everywhere) and I am never really on vacation so keeping in touch is important and allows me a lot more flexibility with travel...

    1994 International 4700 Conversion Begins

I hope you make sure you are sitting down when International gives you a price on the brakeline. Freightliner wanted just under $200 for one for mine (less than 4' with 3 bends) and it would be a special order with a 4 week delivery. The parts guy said he had never ordered a genuine brake line...

    1994 International 4700 Conversion Begins

Glad to hear the swap seems to of worked out. What ratio did you go with? Maybe consider buying a long length of flexible brake (braided) hose to go right back to the last common point with the other caliper. this will eliminate all that stuff and then if that works start by replacing the solid...

I vote cameras so we can make sure we can run over the zombies (or cats if that's your thing). Or maybe IR lights so we can go in stealth mode. But seriously another set of indicators down lower might help the people driving low see them. (before we roll right over them  ) Sort of like...

Yeah thanks Bob. Your diagrams were invaluable and the tip about the bridged wire made recognition of the correct plug easy once I finally found where the sadistic bastards had hidden it. I'm pretty chuffed but my right calf is happier I bet. I figure 4000 miles at least in the next 2 1/2 weeks...
