Sold. Sold. Sold
Now you can change to singles on the back and still maintain the load capacity.

Goodyear 11R20 G177 less than 500 miles.
4 spares. 3 never used. 1 partially worn. (1 unused and the used...

Now that I have succumbed to the laws of physics and accepted that the Sienna seats will not work in the freightliner I have a new set for sale (bugger because now the missus is eyeing off $800+ ea truck seats). New gray (with wallyworld seat cover from the day they were picked up). Few...
All of my 4wd ford vans had a worse turning circle than my 2wd versions (2 Quigley and 1 Advanced 4WD). But my 2wd Freightliner has a great turning circle and will stay 2wd for that reason.
Also you forgot the driveline maintenance added with 4WD. You have transfer case with bearings, seals and...
Try John at Stazworks. Also if you are getting wheels made you might want to consider running 22.5 super singles. Easier to get replacements on the road and will never wear out in your application. The ones they run on logging trucks should be suitable. If you go with a set of adapters and 10...
Its alive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like some maintenance induced failure. When we got the bad fuel I was all over the filters and around the fuel pump. Got the restriction in the tank cleared but it got what I thought was the same problem (same symptoms) after a few hundred miles. I tested the...
We have the truck version M-1078 and it was a PITA to get titled and registered. Weeks of running around and jumping through hoops.
Speed limited to 58, cab is noisy but the ride is comfortable.
Ours is for sale on this forum somewhere. Reminds me I need to bump it again.
Another point to consider for what type of ambulance you buy. Real world fuel comparison between the 1999 FL60 with 2WD and big wheels and my 1995 Quigley stock ambo. We took both of them on a 4 day trip around Arizona. Both vehicles traveled the same roads at the same time and approximately the...
Bugger!!! Now you have let out the secret of why I lift all my trucks. :Wow1:
I can change the filters on the Freightliner in about 10 minutes if I am being careful about spilling the diesel. It takes me about 30 minutes just to get to the filter on the ford.
No worries the tow was covered. Lucky it didn't happen in Baja. Now to start troubleshooting and hopefully eliminating the failure points. I am just thankful that it is not a ford van. I am way to fat and inflexible for working on then now.
Problem temporary sorted. Finally stopped in the middle of the road through the military proving grounds in Yuma. Under the watchful eye of a semi friendly military policeman I swapped both filter for no change. Then I pumped some compressed air back from the filter to the tank and blew...
I have just a h2o/10mu pre filter and then the normal Cummins engine filter. In the water filter bowel I can see some crap. But it is running high suction at the water filter and this coupled with the penchant for having more trouble going uphill on left turns leads me to believe I may have...
I always said "55 gallons! That's not a big enough tank!! " Now I have to drop it and clean the crap out I am figuring it is plenty big enough. Still suffering from some hesitation especially on uphill left hand turns.
Jack that advice will stick with me from now on.
Herbie. I usually take...
Sitting by the beach with poor internet while I write this so no photos yet. But I did get to stress test the fuel filtration and tires yesterday.
Picked up a bad batch of fuel in San Filipe (don't buy diesel from the place on the round about). Truck was surging and miss firing. So I pulled...
Bugger!!!! Heading off tomorrow and sprung a leak in the suspension airbag. Compressor can keep up at the moment but I don't think it will get better. No replacement anywhere in Phoenix. 7 - 10 days delivery. Managed to get a couple ordered out of South Dakota (Firestone W01 358 8868...
It will only go 4wd if I can keep the 45 degree turn angle. Being able to negotiate switchbacks and little market roads is more important to me than getting traction at the front wheels. Aiming for all road not off road.
