    Breaker fight

assuming it is a 12V system? 3000W inverter draws +/- 250A - probably more when the powered devise kicks in (in rush current). Plus losses at every crimp, connection, junction etc. Breakers protect the wires and prevent fires. 0 gauge is too small as well. Rated for 150A. Recommended is...

    High mileage and trips

Exactly correct. US Gov't publishes on the road survivability rates by year. 1997 Model Year Light Duty Trucks (last FZJ80 sold new in USA) it is estimated that 15.3% remain registered. Perhaps the percentage of Land Cruisers is slightly higher, but probably not by a lot.

    LongMontEro

When new the factory rails were rated at 210 lbs IIRC (stated in the owners manual) . I'm sure they degrade with time like everything in a 18 year old vehicle.

I found that 285s rubbed a bit even with OME lift springs. Never had that issue when I ran 265/75R17 stock springs.

    LongMontEro

Had 285/75R16 on my '05 for several years. Big tires, I don't think I would repeat if I got another Gen 3. Would max out at 265/75R17 and no lift on the next one.
