Solutoin!!!
Well I think I figured it out.
After reading about a similar scenario over on Land Rovers Only forum I asked my wife Amy to turn the key to position 2 while I went and put my ear to the fuel pump which I had already exposed under the rear carpet.
The fuel pump should run for 2...
Hi gang,
Hopefully someone can help?
Problem:
- 2001 Land Rover DII, 130,000 miles.
- Intermittent starting problems -- The engine has been running fine with no issues. I parked it one day and went back an hour later and it would not start. The engine cranks but does not fire even after...
Actually,
Just take your stock key into a good locksmith shop and they can make you a new key from a flat blank. I till work on the doors and the ignition.
I originally ordered some "Land Rover" keys off of ebay but nobody would cut them because they are steel and will ruin the modern key...
Having been trhough them when complete and bran new I's say this one is still in great shape and a pretty good price considering the original retail pricing. About 30% of the retail price for much more than 30% of the original vehicle.
Perhaps a few systems taken out but I did not see any...
It's been a while but in '97 & '98 I drove the Forester and the Outback with work and then in '99 managed a fleet of 19 Subaru Bajas that we drove all across the country for events. Never had any issues with them even with multiple people driving each one on a regular basis. All three models...
I was running 18psi in the JK and the Nissan was also at 18.
I'm not sure what the PW was running.
There was plenty of deformation even in the cold temps.

Brian

#2 looks like an Egyptian pharaoh
#3 looks a bit grumpy
Hi,
Anyone know the Power Steering System of a 2001 DII very well?
The truck has 130K miles and never any steering system issues previously.
From what I can tell the leak is from or around the PAS pump and not the Steering Box. I say this because their are drips on the bottom of the PAS pump...
Hi,
We just returned from CO, Fort Collins area, and we usually go once a year.
Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park are both right there and wonderful areas to explore with great hiking and rivers for fishing if you want.
Regards
Brian
The truck is happily performing flawlessly!
The long AT storage droor and the National Luna fridge have both proven to be very functional as well as the tie down points on top of the droor.
It still has the ARB roof rack on top but we have had the RTT off for about a month now for about two...
Thanks for the pics!
I tried to stay up, fell asleep, woke up briefly and walked outside to see it at the partial eclipse stage and then went back to bed!
Very cool event though!
