    McVick's NX650!

Thanks, My plan as of now is to remove the rear fender, remove the airbox andpull the carb out the back. Who knows, maybe I'll have a better angle on those stuck bolts with the carb removed. Brian

    McVick's NX650!

I am trying to re-jet the carburetor, I've followed the Honda Service Manual instructions to the point that the seat, fairings, fuel tank and separator are off. Next on the instruction list is to remove the Carburetor Insulator Mounting Bolts. There are three of them, all hex hed 5mm. After...

    McVick's NX650!

I read through the shop manual this afternoon and found the idle adjustment screw on the carburetor. I took it back to its zero setting to try and smooth everything out but I think it will still need new carb jets for this altitude. The throttle is very touchy and it still surges a bit. Brian

    McVick's NX650!

Just took the bike out for a little spin. Some stop and go clutch and brake work along with a few turns. There was a considerable amount of chuga chuga while going slow with low rpm. I'm thinking I may need to re-jet the carb for Phoenix altitude sooner than later. A very comfortable and well...

    McVick's NX650!

Amy is still trying to decide what she would like. She is planning to ride this bike as well for a while until she has a better idea of what she likes or doesn't like. She is just as tall as me and all muscle so this bike fits her well too. Brian

    My Drummond Island adventure

Mac Island, I love it! 11 Chicago to Mac Island races, oohohoo the memories, load that island with a few thousand racers after they spend 2-4 days on the water being wet, cold, sleep deprived and competetive, well, good times! Glad you had fun! Brian

    What's wrong with this picture?

What camper forum? Do you have a link? I would be interested to see the context it was originally posted in on that site. There may also be a way to contact the owner and learn more about the vehicle and how it is used...... you know, before we make assumptions and jump to conclusions. :coffee...

    Looking for commercial UHF radios

So, first off - I just love the wealth of knowledge here on ExPo! Thanks for all the input. The radios will be used only on campus, well within a one mile radius but they will be used indoors and outdoors and most of the buildings are cinderblock. FRS sounds like the simplest solution. Thanks...

    Looking for commercial UHF radios

A question about the GMRS: Are these essentially the same as FRS? I have found the FRS to be somewhat annoying to use due to general interference and that most of the radios beep abnoxiosly every time you touch them!

    Looking for commercial UHF radios

Does anyone have any recommendations for radios or where to source them. Working used radios are a perfectly good solution...

    Hackney Fuso Stuff

Well done! Glad to see you have your rig back too. Most amazing is finding all of the supplies that never get touched, aside from spare parts that is - not touching those is a good thing. The two motorbikes were part of that 3000lb correct, those would make a significant contribution to the...

    Best GPS for hiking/road

The new DeLorme PN-40 has done a good job at meeting the dual needs of in vehicle and out of vehicle weather it be on foot, bike or boat. Most importantly it has a new faster processor which allows the PN-40 to be more responsive than the PN-20. It is not the largest screen for in-vehicle nave...
