    Front Bumper Modification

I have a 2009 and it has the cross member. I was thinking of replacing it with steel plate to mount the winch. I agree, for big market numbers don't make sense. I was thinking of possibly putting something out there for the niche market.

    Front Bumper Modification

I concur. The only thing that might get pulled off, and not from the Winch necessarily is the plastic over bumper. My only concern other than looks for the Warn mount is that it sits the winch up high and ends up restricting airflow quite a bit. I would prefer something that drops it down...

    Front Bumper Modification

Welcome! That is the $1m question. It can be done but most of the current JK bumpers on the market do not support the 8274. I believe that Hanson makes one, but it is not my favorite. I will post a link if I find one shortly. Warn makes a mount that will work but it mounts it very high in...

    JK 2.8 CRD

Not crazy at all. I was one of the ones that reached out. I am still interested but may need to invest my funds elsewhere. Still hope to pick one up. But you also have to agree that it is not crazy to ask what it would cost, even if you can't afford it right now. Hopefully they could one day...

    An expedition truck on portals...

Good point. I forgot that they are the only DOT approved beadlocks. Like I said, I love Hutchinsons, I was just looking at lighter alternatives. Looks Like I will be going with Hutchinsons shortly.

    An expedition truck on portals...

Good point Robert, I forgot that. But there are several other vendors that make double beadlocks. Stazworks makes custom double beadlocks (http://www.stazworks.com/rims.htm), Billet Specialties (http://www.billetspecialties.com/) but they look way expensive for some reason, and American Racing...

    An expedition truck on portals...

Robert, I love Hutchinson Beadlocks, but let me play devil's advocate for a minute. Hutchinsons are ridicoulosly heavy. What about an alloy Beadlocks like Raceline Monster's, one of the lightest around. I ask as I am struggling with this question right now myself.

Bruiser 4BT Cummins Conversion - No Affiliation

That's correct. If the county you live in doesn't do emissions testing diesel swaps are easy. It's all the other areas that are an issue.

    Camel Trophy

Hi Robert, Good to hear from you. I was also thinking Canada and agree with your rough outline. I am actually located in central Maine and am just a quick jump to Canada. We also have started an extreme expedition company, X-plorenow Xpeditions. We also have close relationships with...
