the only time you need to ever ground the unit is if you plug a 3 prong plug into the inverter,under no other circumstances would you need to ground the Ark Pak, if you plug a 2 pronged plug into the inverter it is double insulated and does not require grounding.

thanks for the question, please keep them coming, at this stage we are not looking at this option for the Ark Pak, the reason for this is a big percentage of solar panels/solar blankets already come with a charge controller or voltage regulator.

great question about the Ark Pak, the short answer is no, as we have done testing on the unit and it is a very robust and strong unit we have had batteries that weighted up 35kg to 40kg which is approx 80 to 90 pounds and it has not failed.
