Does anyone know about ARK Portable battery boxes and where to buy them

Peak, very good post.
I have received some flak on a few other sites about how I should build my own, but I do not have time, and I like how this unit is ready to go except for having to put the battery in it.
Brett, do you think your company may be building your own charge controller kind of like the Goal Zero one I posted earlier?

Getting flak? I really see this as a great opportunity to get a product that will surely become more expensive after it catches on. If you only had one rig, and it was dedicated to expo or wheeling and you had a safe place for another battery, then a hard wired system might make sense. However, the portability makes this guy very useful for:
Using it in different vehicles or being a good friend to let someone "borrow" it (very good friend)
power outages (although rare, it's a lot smaller than having a generator in the garage and worrying about fuel going old)
One more toy that doesn't get sold with the truck down the road and can be moved to the next one (if I ever sell or vehicle is totaled)
One more toy that doesn't get stolen out of the truck when it's not needed, not to mention the extra weight of a 2nd battery
Ability to jump start a vehicle in a hard to reach spot. ( I dealt with this with my Supra and I had to SLOWLY push it out of the garage by myself using chock blocks every few inches) or a dead battery on a lead vehicle on a narrow trail.
The down side is that it will most likely not be in the vehicle if an emergency jump start is needed in daily driving, but if that concerns someone, then they can leave it in and charge it while driving.
Going to Sears to try and pick up a size 31 later today!

My Goal Zero Guardian Charge Controller showed up today, very nice.
Smaller than I thought, and smaller than the Brunton one that is installed underneath my hood to keep the stock battery topped off when camping since it runs the ARB fridge.
It is not much bigger than a cell phone.
When I get pics of the install, I will also hook up my Powerfilm solar panel and show how it attaches to the Guardian and the ArkPak.
Showed my lead at work this morning the video above, he was pretty impressed with the ArkPak.

thanks for the question, please keep them coming, at this stage we are not looking at this option for the Ark Pak, the reason for this is a big percentage of solar panels/solar blankets already come with a charge controller or voltage regulator.

Shipping is fast. Mine arrived yesterday and I brought it to work with me to look over. I am amazed at how small and light the unit, without the battery, is.
Where did u order the battery that delivers? Did u get the Platinum series?
Edit-- read back up the thread and saw u got the EXIDE. Amazon?

Seven more hours until I see my ArkPak and battery
Going to be a fun weekend messing around with it.
Looking forward to your reviews. This is something that's on my future list for sure......I really didn't want to do a second battery setup in the FJ, and this fills that void.

This would be perfect for a 2nd battery.
Mine was waiting for me when I got home, but the battery is on a different UPS truck, strange.
My UPS guy is always here by 10 am or so, but the battery must have come in later and put on a different truck that runs a later route.
I have assembled the mounting brackets, and will attack the whole install tomorrow with lots of pics.
I will have it in my FJs build-up thread, but I will put the link to it in this thread.
Brett, a little confusion here.
It says in the manual if you use the 110v outlet outside, you need to drive a grounding stake into the ground and run a ground wire from it to the box where the ground wingnut is?
Also I think it states if using the 12V charger inside of your rig that goes to your rigs 12V aux socket you must also use a grounding wire from the wingnut to the chassis of your rig?
I also wanted to see if this would power a small guitar amplifier in my place, what about that grounding wingnut inside of a home to run something off of the 110V?
