I have always heard that it is stronger than cable, I assume that you have found that to not be the case Tom? Do you think that is because of sheer force or not winching properly and chafing?
Trust me, no sympathy needed, I feel your pain. Recently I had to decide between San Fran or Chicago to relocate for my job. I chose San Fran as I couldn't live in the middle of nowhere.:Wow1:. Will be in CA soon. Hope to see you both there.
I understand the heavy interest in ecu's as they are vital, but I have also heard that they rarely blow, except when drowned of course.
What about axleshafts, nobody has mentioned them yet. This is one of the most common offorad issues I see.
Good luck to both of you, and congrats on your engagement. I am very jealous, I wish we could take a year to explore. I will also be pin San Fran in 6 months. Hope to see you around.
me too. I know that this is the ultimate setup, but I can't quite the voice in the back of my head telling me to just go with a Warn 8k or a Superwinch...
Ok a couple of points listed here bring up an interesting question. Superwinches Husky winches are well respected and many people speak highly of hydro winches in general as well. Both are similarly priced so it begs the question, if you had the money and the choice which would you buy and why?
I am on my droid and will send to you tomorrow from my laptop. In the mean time you can do a google search for lucky8 waterproofing and it should come up.
I have heard better things about the bosch over the gems so I was leaning that way. Has anyone else heard that? My current 4.0 is a bosch and I also heard that a same to same swap was easier.
