    It was garage cleaning time...

I had this exact same fuel problem on my 97 Disco but my fuel limit was 15. Anything more and it would puke all over the place. I had narrowed it down to a slice in the overflow that i was sealing when the engine blew on me...

    Are You Kidding Me?

OK I can't believe I am doing this again. I was driving my 99 Disco II near my house on the highway at about 60-65. Ever since the last problems with my 97Disco I watch the temp guage like a hawk. it was dead flat. Started to smell hot and like some antifreeze. I also then saw some white smoke...

    X-plore II Discovery Build

OK finally made it home tonight from ABQ after a quick detour at the Grand Canyon and Durango, CO for some quick wheelin. Drives like a dream and handles great even lifted. One thing I did notice was a rather large vibration only at certain times when it downshifted at speed. Vibration seems...

    X-plore II Discovery Build

trust me I know. I almost had to do daily checks on my last Disco. But I have checked "most of the fluids and they were good. I was a little low on coolant and topped that off but that's it. One of the first questions I asked the guy when I called about the car was what was it leaking and how...

OK, let's try this again. I have previously mentioned that I rolled my Jeep, and then recently cooked the engine on it's replacement a 97 Disco I. So this weekend I picked up a new to me 99 Disco II. Hopefully I will have better luck with this one. I better as I can't keep picking up cars...

    Disco Diesel Conversion

I have read that a 300TDI is the best option, and then probably a TD5, which is more expensive.

    Disco Diesel Conversion

In a previous thread I mentioned my engine problems after overheating in my 1997 Disco I. I am now considering buying a different Disco and possibly eventually do a diesel conversion in my original disco. Has anyone doen this? Or have any thoughts?

    Overheating / Starting Issue

I have never changed a transmission myself. I am mechanical and smart but am not a mechanic. How hard a job is it? Should I try myself? JC Rovers wants at least a grand in labor.

    Overheating / Starting Issue

found a local 96 Disco with 130k on it. For sale for $1100, Tranny is no good. Thinking of picking it up and moving my tranny over. Haven't decided, my offer $900.
