I have to admit that the reason I waited almost a year for the 2017 over the 2016 was because of the rumored 2018 update on the G-Wagen. From the spy shots, it's clearly getting softened up, widened, lowered, etc... This is all likely due to emission standards, pedestrian impact, cost, etc...

Looks super good. So no issues with ESP or rubbing on stock suspension? Have you put a tape measure on these to see if they are really 31.9"? I have seen BFG be a little under advertised. Either way this is a solid option for G63s.

Alright good news...the spare tire cover does fit, albeit tightly, over a fully inflated (40psi) 265/65 R18 BFG AT KOs tire.

You might check out the soft cover that is used on the military G's. I've heard they are larger.

Okay so I wasn't super pleased with the way the tire was filling the the wheel well. So after reading at nausea about ESP and rubbing side effects I settled on 265/65 R18 (overall 31.6") as the perfect safe size. I did lots of drive testing today and could not get the ESP issue to show it...

Yes a while ago. Copley sold it for me. They did a great job. It was a great truck but I have to say...I'm glad I don't have a Defender anymore. Onwards to the G Wagon project now.
