    AC for RTT

It's really, really easy. Leave the side (drivers on mine) annex door open and rolled up so the ladder can stick through it while you fold the tent up. Once the tent is closed and all the air is out, stuff the sides in a fold the side (passengers on mine) on top. Then I climb ontop of the whole...

    AC for RTT

No photos on file. We keep the annex room attached to the tent 24/7 so when set up the zipper panel that is against the trailer is left open. The intake just slips between the trailer and the tent through the open panel. It’s amazing with the tent cover rolled up and the tent pulled around the...

Had a great time camping on Table Rock Lake this weekend. Trailer did really well, everything worked as planned except the heater. It wasn’t needed, just wanted to test it. Further digging shows that it can’t be mounted vertical so it looks like I’ll have to mount it in another location. The...

    Portable A/C Unit....Gauging Interest

We used our kit for the first time this weekend, it worked amazingly well. We were visiting family over Memorial Day so we stayed at a local campground which had 15a service. The AC ran on Low and made our tent and annex room very cool. We had the intake in the annex room and the output in the...

    AC for RTT

Finally got ours out this weekend. Works really well. Our RTT was in the high 60s last night and the ac was on low. It sweats like a whore in church....

Where does the fridge go in Turtleback exp

They typically put them in the front compartment. No really good way for it to be around the rear kitchen.

Mostly to fit in my garage. But other benefits are better gas mileage, lower COG and now when it’s open it’s the perfect height for the CVT annex room.

Finally got my propane hoses installed, my internal shelves installed and bolted down. Got her all loaded up for her maiden voyage this weekend. I handled the propane plumbing much differently than many may, but I didn't want the propane to all the appliances (tent heater, water heater, BBQ...

Located a few bags that fit the house side boxes really well. These boxes will mostly hold clothing a living items as it's the side under the annex when the tent is open. To keep the bags from wicking moisture if the boxes leak I laid down perforated tile.

Fridge high or low... on the drawers or at floor level. Input needed

I like the fridge high, drawer low using a fridge drop slide. It's an Easy Slide 150, other than heavy, it's amazing. I did modify it by building a slide out table that rests below the fridge.

    AC for RTT

I'd like to see how you rig this up. I just purchased one of these adapters and got the Frost King AC unit in the mail today. I'll be putting it to use next weekend as we are Glamping in a campground with a 110v outlet for memorial day to be close to family. I'm thinking my wife will OK at Honda...

    Portable A/C Unit....Gauging Interest

Scotia, can you link to the Artic King on Amazon? I'm not finding a AKW050CM71-A. Also, what hard start kit did you use to make the unit run better with the little Honda 1000? I'm trying to decide which generator to purchase. I would like the most efficient unit between the Honda 1000 and...

    Type A personality storage build

What made you swap the slides? I've used Accurides, KVs and I just got my first set of Ryadon slides off eBay. They seem as good as the others.

    Pictures of Camp Kitchens

Here is the Turtleback trailer I built. Was just a rolling empty "utility" trailer when I got it. I built it out similar to the Patriot camper. I'm still finish up some final touches, should have her maiden voyage next week.

Here is what I've done in my RTT on my turtleback. Enjoyed the project, anyone else done anything similar?? My roof rack on my Turtleback lifts 18", this shows the rack in the up position. a 3/4" bulkhead fitting with a 3/4" cable gland keep the tent floor water tight. I can't run a...

Also wired up the tents power and propex thermostat this weekend. I ran 7 pin trailer cable through the tents floor using a bulkhead fitting and a couple cable glands. The 7 pin cable was perfect as it has 12awg wires for the power and 5 16awg wires for the thermostat. I notched the mattress so...

I just fabricated them, they are pretty simple. Just make sure you mount them square to the trailer, door and each other.

Also wanted to share a few photos of the trailer during the day So you can see the quick pitch shower tent. Shower is on a 36” 500lb locking slide that slides to the drivers side so it clears the tongue box when opened. 36x36” basin to catch the water. I’ll build a wood floor so your not...
