Adding 20A circuit for inverter, what can I power, and batteries?

kinda, as you put load on a wire the voltage is going to drop.. the voltage at the inverter wont be same under load as idle.. my 1kw inverter pulls my Lipo battery down from ~13.8v to 11.5v.. so instead of pulling 72A like you'd calculate at resting input voltage it actually pulls >86A IRL even...

Adding 20A circuit for inverter, what can I power, and batteries?

circuits shouldn't be ran at full capacity, if its on a 20A fuse you should not hook up loads more than ~15A or else expect to pop that fuse constantly.

Any experience with a Vmax battery?

Depends on loads really, if your just doing small loads like fridge just check water levels a couple times a year like beginning and end of your season (before and after putting it on a tender all winter) and add more distilled water when needed.. if your powering high loads like big inverters...

Any experience with a Vmax battery?

They can vent hydrogen, which is extremely difficult to contain.. most of it floats off to space, unless you put em in an airtight location normally its no issue as it'll find its way out before it reaches any dangerous concentrations. even top tier GC batteries like Trojan are equal in cost to...

Here's a simple diagram of the electrical system on my discover, or at least the ideal situation I'm currently working towards and most of the way done.. figured I should start keeping track of this for my own sake. Fuses, Negative Bus, and other lil things are omitted.. I may start adding that...

Any experience with a Vmax battery?

I had one, was crap for a trailer and failed quickly into its 2nd season.. do your self a favor and get two cheap GC batteries, get twice the capacity for $100 less and the'll last longer and take more abuse. AGM is for suckers and they got me.

AMP-L-START compatible with Battleborn lithium batteries?

exactly same way as you switch positive.. hook chassis to COM and device ground to NO.. just get a relay that has its own connectors for the coil.

Robbing Peter to Pay the whole family . . .

I only see like 5A of power out the 7 pin trailer plug.. Sounds like the solution for now is to move the DC charger up into the engine compartment, use it for charging vehicle house battery.. and set trailer up for its own charging and dont rely on the vehicle for much.. a few amps should keep...

inverter comes close but does not exceed the rated output, at least not with my loads.. the way its wired right now the LVD drops all other loads when inverter is at full power and keeps it under the 100A continuous output rating.. its rated to 200A for short bursts... supposedly the internal...

thats what I thought last summer when I put 6awg wiring on the converter, its mebe 2ft total of wiring so it should be good.. though I do recall grabbing the fuse block (60A) for the charger and it was rather warm after recharging.. I think the power demands of the Lithium has been wrecking this...

thats kinda how I did my lil 4x7 trailer, top comes off and I use it as my "truck" bed... was really very convenient, but converting it is a hassle.. after a decade of taking it apart and putting it back together again its not as waterproof as it once was. I'm giving it to my dad since there is...

Best place to buy a fridge?

Ive had front loading fridges, that was my experience, not opinion.. they sucked more power, took more room, held less food.. none had an ice maker tho, just an ice tray.. I'm eyeing those standalone ice makers now, can make ice in 6min they claim.. can just run it when wife wants to make some...

Best place to buy a fridge?

Front loaders loose all the cold air when you open em up, they also tend to dump everything onto the ground when opened up after a drive.. 65W is pretty high too.

My tow vehicle has its own battery management system in it, have to plug in my shop computer and put a new battery serial number in when I install a new one so it resets the age profile.. not interested at all in charging it off tow vehicle. Finally back to the good stuff, went dispersed...

Adding a lithium batt to my dual AGM + ACR setup

not in parallel, you can put two shunts in a series tho.. not at all as long as that single cable can handle the cumulative load I have a master disconnect that disconnects everything, its good to know everything off when in storage.

    Power inverter vs generator

I'm mounting my Honda 2.2k on a hitch step with one of those locking plates off a rear trailer receiver, I'll haul it outside and can just hook up and disconnect quick and easy without any setup, worrying about it getting stolen or gas smells in my sleeping area.. If I want to run it all...
