    ARE DCU height?

Get the biggest one. Even truck popup campers like Ovrlnd, .project M, etc only lower mpg by 2. You're gonna take a 1mpg hit no matter what, might as well get the good one.

What do you folks think about the flat roof, with solar on it, vs just using portable? I see this, but haven't decided yet: 1. Solar on roof, pros-- always there ready to produce. More theft resistant. Cons-- have to park in sun, shaded camp spots likely give little power. Flat roof on ovrlnd...

Power station with equivalent or better 12v outputs than Goal Zero?

I have noticed that a lot of 12v stuff can also be bought 12-24v, able to use both. I have shifted to only buying such items, to allow me to go 24v later if desired. Most all fridges are 12 to 24v input. LED lighting, for inside, 12 to 24v is same price. Several fans are 12 to 24v. Maxxfan is...

I like the 30L BougeRV with the attached battery. Only had mine 2 months but good so far, and would meet the OP needs. By the way, this thread was 3.5 years old, the OP probably figured something out ;) But on the chance someone else wants small fridge in cab and has no power outlet, I'm...

Good Solar gen Power Stations for DC and light AC Truck Campers

This thread is to help consolidate info on what solar generators also called power stations, will work well for small truck popup campers who plan on using some light 120Vac cooking tools (like Tune M1, OVRLND, AT Summit, GoFast, Topo Toppers, Project M, Hiatus, LonePeak, Super Pacific, etc.)...

This is so far the very best post I've found on EP or OverlandBound or mobile solar forums, for what a popup truck camper might use!! So much thanks! I think you're in Phoenix area too, and it's nice to see I was way overestimating usages! Now that you mentioned it, I was thinking 110f in...

Dstefan, I would very much like to get more info from you on your power usage. I am only finding nebulous answers mostly, driving me towards 4000wh battery. But you are saying you run off a 100Ah 12v setup? Anything you can tell on daily dc usage and what youfind yourself running to get that...

Solar VS no solar. I haven't built my system yet. But have done a lot of study on this one.Let's use 400 W as an example. I can buy a 400 W solar panel For 473 dollars, which weighs 38 lbs, with wire and mounting hardware let's call it 45 pounds. Best case that panel mounted flat will...

Power station with equivalent or better 12v outputs than Goal Zero?

You will have a hard time beating that, all the good dc ones I know just match that. Basically 12v dc at 30A. So 1500x has: 12V HIGH POWER PORT 12V, up to 30A (360W max), regulated However, there ARE 2 that match it at better price. My Pecron e1500LFP has an xt60 port that is 13.4v (12v...

Power station with equivalent or better 12v outputs than Goal Zero?

If you listed what dc capabilities of that Yeti are, then folks could respond on their power stations, which they know, without having to look up the yeti you have... I'd like to answer with my good one,but not enough to look up your goal zero, if you're going to make me research. Just enough...
