    2003 F250 Expedition/offroad build....

I liked it with the flares and the OE headlights and grill, but it's your truck and you should do what you like with it. Cool build! I almost bought a similar truck before I ended up with my Yukon but it didn't have AC, which is a no-go from me.

    anyone remember Kodak....

I took pictures of a trip this summer on a Nikon F2 that predates me by about 25 years. It was given to me by my boss, who bought it new. It's a special camera and I really enjoy it. I've got enough rolls now to send off to the lab, since there isn't a lab local to me anymore.

    F350 Grille/Bumper Guard

It might be worth looking around for a used SuperDuty Ranchhand guard and fabbing your own mounts. Probably going to be easiest once you have the truck and can take measurements.

Hella 4000 Rallye - Xenon, Halogen and LED questions

Candlepower forum has good information, but keep in mind that they are VERY strict on following regulations/laws/OEM specifications. I'm not sure how much you'll gain by going there unless you want information about complying with those various laws and regulations. Baja Designs LP9 and LP6...

Lets see some full size pictures...

@ExpoMike , what lights are those on the grille guard? I've been looking into some round driving lights about that size for my Yukon.

    Shaking at 70+ mph

My 01 Yukon XL 2500 is doing the same thing, and I believe it started around the time I had the whole front end refreshed. I intend to have the tire balance checked (they're only 4000 miles old) and rotate them, but I did notice some uneven wear (probably due to driving on worn out front end...

    Feniex Industries 4200 Mini Controller

I believe this is a rebranded Auxbeam/same manufacturer, but from a vendor with actual customer support: https://www.strobesnmore.com/touch-6.html It's not quite as polished as the 4200 Mini but it includes relays that handle a lot more amperage. I've been looking at those two products for my...

    $5k SUV Showdown: '91 Burb,' 01 Burb, V10 Excursion

Thanks for the review on the bumper, that's helpful information. I'm thinking I may DIY the rear bumper and purchase the front, since my expectations for the rear are less stringent on looks and more about function. Luckily I live reasonably close to Buckstop so lead times and shipping aren't...

Suggestions on lowering tailgate a tiny bit?

I agree with the other posters, shimming the rear slide mounts is going to be the easiest way to solve this problem. I would add that you shouldn't worry about the sliders not being level and wanting to slide back into the bed with gravity, I doubt your truck is ever going to be parked so level...

    $5k SUV Showdown: '91 Burb,' 01 Burb, V10 Excursion

After pricing out how much a tubing bender, welder, and steel costs I'm also considering getting buckstop bumpers for my Yukon, so I'd also love to hear any thoughts/reviews on them. They seem to be popular amongst the crowd that needs bumpers to be functional.

    ImNoSaint's Tahoe Build

That blackout looks good! I've been working on blacking out the chrome on my daily driver, a Chrysler 300C, with mediocre results so far. I've tried plasti-dip and vinyl wrap, and so far neither ended up sticking how I'd like them to. No fault on the products, I'm sure I'm not doing the...

    InReach to InReach Location Tracking

Looks like it may be possible to automate something but I'll have to get a couple and play with it. Thank you!

    InReach to InReach Location Tracking

Hi all- For those of you with an InReach product, do you know if they can send location updates to each other? I know you can set it to send updates to the web/app for someone in town to track your location, but can it also send updates to another InReach device so two users in the field can...

    EarthCruiser Terranova

Do you start with the Cab-Chassis model of the base truck, or the standard 1-ton pickup with the bed removed? I very much can't afford a Terranova yet but I like to fantasize!

1995 K2500 Suburban "light duty overlanding rig" build thread

The highest tow capacity for a Suburban is 12k for the GMT800 8.1L, but I'd be wary of the shorter wheelbase on a suburban when towing that heavy. Also know that if you're involved in an accident and over the sticker limits, your insurance may find that a reason not to cover you.

New headlights on a 15 year old truck

Putting new headlights in my Yukon made it look so much nicer, although the beam pattern isn't as good as the OEM lights. I plan to supplement with a pair of SAE legal LED fogs. Those 3rd gen Rams just look right when they're all clean like that.

    92 K1500 DD/Overland Temp

I love the look of these old GMT400s, one of the last classic, honest work trucks. I'd be tempted to get the tintable bedliner and keep the red exterior, are you considering that or just going with standard black?

2001 Yukon XL 2500 6.0 Build and Questions Thread

Well it's been almost a year, but the truck is finally in the shop getting all its deferred maintenance done. Anything with a fluid is getting checked/changed, the steering is getting refreshed with Moog HD parts, the oil pan and rear main seal leaks are being addressed, as is a transmission...

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

I'm lucky that my mechanic is very reasonable and honest, and we did have the discussion about used parts. I think I'll risk a used unit, and possibly install it myself and see what happens, and if it needs coding I can take it to him. I might try some of the DIY fixes like checking the grounds...

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

Question for the group: For those who've had ABS/EBCM issues, has anyone ever sent theirs for repair or bought a remanufactured part? My mechanic quoted me $1500 for replacement with new, but offered installation and coding if I provide a less expensive part. It seems there's a variety of...
