@Billoftt they already did, 2017 they changed GMRS and FRS.. repeater input frequencies are off limits for all unlicensed radios and next year they will ban the import of all FRS radios that dont meet the new bandplan.
When in the back country I have GMRS all to my self usually, not much issue...

Whats the biggest load you intend to hookup to your battery? For example I'm putting a 1k watt inverter on mine, it can burst to 2400W and 200A is most my LVD relay can handle, so I put a 200A fuse on it (2400/12=200) and dont really expect to use that much but...
x2, sounds like his aux battery is being limited by the wiring to just a couple amps.. my trailer can only get like 3-4A off the plug wiring and it takes forever to fully charge via alternator.
so this weekend I decided to rewire some of this, a while back I wired up a parallel over-ride switch with the Battery Monitor I can connect the LVD manually and did alot more research on LiPo's this is the plan.
I moved the charger over to the load side of the battery protect and bonded...
yeah I personally would not worry water at that location, not unless yeh got snorkels.. I would be concerned about dust, but just enough to hit it with an air compressor every time I was in for an oil change..
now if it was one of the $400-800 charge controllers, and not a $100 one.. then i'd...
dont look like you can move your axles back more than a few inches.. you might look at tosion axles, they adapt to your load weights and are independent so they do really well off road.. Ive got tandem dexter 3500# tosion axle setup and I love it.. shocks are built in.. just glides down...
my first adventure trailer was about 1000-1500# depending on load, just got to the point where I could dead lift it and tell if I was too light or heavy.. I was towing with a vehicle that had no tow ratings (Diesel Golf) so keeping the load balanced right was critical.. I had a specific packing...
That VRV is nice, I got an Intech in this style (see sig) and I love it but they stopped making em, I'll point people that way who ask me where they can get one like mine.. Dual tip outs are great, feels very roomy since it becomes as wide as it is long.
I got a new furnace (2 stage w/humidifier, great upgrade) a few years ago and asked em if they would put it on a normal cord like my old one was, they said they couldn't because it was against current code (hardwired w/switch, and a bunch of other crap that changed since house was built) and...
Slightly OT but I think there's more than just me thinking like this, last winter I lost power overnight with a newborn and was a little shocked to see how quick my 60's built house lost all its heat, I've been living here 9 years and that was first time we lost power in the winter.. so this...
were you at altitude? the low oxygen sensor also keeps it from running at altitude.. sometimes I could get it fired up in mountains, other times I could not at the same camp.. so barometric pressure was virtually making me thousand feet higher one night than the other.
also low oxygen shutoff...
I rented a cricket last year for the eclipse, it was nicely built and towed well.. they are mild-offroad at best tho. It had more that I didnt like about it than I did like.. cost, not being able to see rear of trailer when backing up (rear door was already badly damaged from owner backing it...
I've not bought LiPo's from China but I've imported a ton of electronics over the years (through AliBaba and others) and generally had great results.. once yeh get past the language barrier and shipping costs/times.. I havent tried to import anything since all these tariffs have been in place...
This is an ALH TDI Intake Manifold (early 2000's VW Diesel, one of the first direct injections we had)
These problems went away and never came back when they started deleting the EGR, yeah when everything is up to operating temp and running 100% in theory it should not be much unburnt fuel in...
