Gotcha. I planned on the F25 but was afraid that my gigantic cot would hit the sidewallls (and it would have) so opted for the extra space. That gray is pretty slick looking!
Ya, I figured I would nip it in the bud before it bothered me too much. A little grinding, a little sawzalling, and a lot of of my heavy *** jumping on them and they are off!
If the would had have 4 legs to support the truck better then I may have tried to clearance them. I am gonna build some...
If they are ground off then they will stay off. Due to Trailgear only sending me 7 legs when I bought them two years ago they only have 3 legs per side. If I can get these off then I will sell them cheap and build my own with 4 legs per side.
In hindsight I shouldn't have even put them on...
I am gonna give grinding a shot. They are not fully welded on yet. Probably 50%. I had a Roger Brown lift on my other tacoma but I hate to lift a truck that doesn't need it to clear the tires. This will be option B. Thanks!
I hate to trike the pinch welds in that area as the tires throw water all over there. Also think I would need to trims quite a bit to gain the clearance need. Not too sure how I would get to the body around the sliders and cut it anyway.
So I shortened the rock sliders that I had cut off of my old tacoma and put them on my new tacoma. I tack welded everything in place and checked for clearance between the tube and bottom of the body. Had at least 1/2". When I went o finish welding I noticed the plate wasn't flush against the...
3 days? Ya, I think Amazon has ruined you!
I expect to hear something within a day or two but I don't have a cow if it takes a couple of days. Just ordered some steel the other day and called after a week of not hearing anything. Fortunately they answer and told me it would be out the next day.
Here is my first attempt at making a knife. It was a Christmas gift for the fiancé (hence the pink liners).
It is 3/16 thick 1080 steel. 3 1/4" blade. Some sort of burl wood for the handle? Same wood on fire steel. Kydex sheath until I can learn to do leather.
Overall very fun...
Tapatalk is starting to get ridiculous....
That looks closer to half of the bed. It will squeeze up against the fender well better than that. I just threw it in there for length reference. Either way it is still a huge tent when packed up! Thick canvas doesn't fold up quite as well as silnylon.
