Those are on my short list for new tires, they look great !! I am looking at the MTRs and the Silent Armor all terrains compared to similar BFGs. I can't wait to hear how they do on the freeway and off road. What kind of $$$ are we looking at for these ??

I know the thread you are referring to, the 09 Chevy. However, there are a couple other threads discussing the Duratracs and how they chose the MTRs because of the sidewalls. One was a Jeep, IIRC.

There is a thread on them in the general vehicle modification forum and someone posted they were going to get the duratracs until they actually saw them. Said the sidewall was thin and flexible and bought the new Kevlar Goodyear MTRs instead.

It's a knocking you can hear and feel in the steering wheel when turning slow and over bumps. It's just play in the intermediate shaft and GM's "solution" is to pack the shaft with grease which fixes the noise temporarily. I haven't heard of them breaking, just annoying.

I have the upgraded GM factory shaft and it fixed the clunking and play in the steering. Whether it will be a long term solution remains to be seen though. If it starts clunking again I will get one of the aftermarket Borgeson shafts which will fix the problem for sure. They are what GM should...
