Both of those look really good. Do you have any pictures of your interior setup in the 2nd Gen? And I agree, the 5.7 feels night and day difference in terms of power.

Yeah my vote is 200 series Landcruiser/Lexus lx570, or 2nd Gen Sequoia. If a 4runner would work then a gx460 would also work. Basically the Lexus version of the 4runner, and those all have a 3rd row, albeit a very cramped 3rd row. A 200 series Toyota or Lexus sounds like it would fit the bill...
Wowzas! Pretty awesome build. Good work! Reminds me of the one that South to North Landcruisers is building up in Idaho.

No experience with them, but they look very nice. If you've got the money for them why not. Does your use really necessitate it though? Or would your money be better spent on a GX460/5th Gen setup?

Yeah a pair of square lights would probably look better than 1x2's I guess. maybe underneath the winch tray? It looks like there would be some good spots for small lights like that, maybe even mounted vertically though that might not work depending on the beam pattern. I think ditch lights work...
I haven't done it myself but I would be willing to bet no for most 16's. Maybe if you run wheel spacers. When doing bigger tundra brakes on a 3rd Gen 4runner you need 17's, and when doing gx460/5th Gen brakes on a 4th Gen/gx470 (I have done this one) you also need 17's. I know some people have...
I would say the 4.7 V8 has just as many common issues as the 5.7 [emoji2373] cracked/leaking exhaust manifolds, leaking valve covers, timing belt/water pump every 90k miles (not really an issue but an inconvenience compared to a timing chain ) secondary air injection system issues on vvti...
Holy cow. What a nightmare. I'd look at what you could get for it trading it in. I'm surprised that Toyota never issued a recall if it's that common of a known problem on the early models. Is it an exhaust routing issue like the old 3.0 3vze had? Too much heat causing HG failures in one specific...
Victory makes nice stuff from what I've seen. Metaltech is another I believe. You'll probably get more engagement over in the GX section on mud if you're not there already.

If you can weld, or know somebody who does, coastal off-road has a WIY kit. No personal experience with it, but I pretty much only hear good things about their products.
