One possible fix to the low range problem with EV’s

I've said it before and it bears repeating. A hybrid makes the most sense, at least in the short term. Now which pony motor to use is one question. Some think a small gas engine is good, ala. Prius. I think a small diesel would be better. Then there is the little wankel engine I've seen for this...

    Wind River Ranging

I'd forgotten just how many lakes are in the Wind River range. Many of them pond size. A lot of your photos have one in it. It's a beautiful and mostly left alone place, which makes it all that more special. Thanks for the reminders of 40 years ago for me.

    Wind River Ranging

I believe the Wind Rivers have the most active glaciers in the lower 48 states. Carry on, awesome report.

    Wind River Ranging

I lived in Cora for about 5 years back in the early 80's. The Wind River range is very much overlooked because of the Tetons. To me, that is a good thing. Green River Lakes is a magical place. We used to go up in the range and fish a lot of the small lakes. Each one often had it's own variety...

    Busier ADV Forums? Websites?

advrider.com is the holy grail of ADV motorcycles. It's busy, but there have been some recent changes that have made it less fun.

Where to find 38” Spare Tire Covers????

A good upholstery shop could make you one, and even customize it for you.

    Converter/ inverter charging

I think with my MPPT controller, when in float, it monitors the situation and might increase the amount getting into the batteries. If for instance, the sun goes behind a cloud for a minute. Also as the day progresses, my voltage goes from about 13.9 in float down to 13.5, still in float. Hope...

This is one I found interesting at the SEMA show years ago. Nice headlights.

FORD EV 150 Gets Camper For Alaskan Trip

And I thought my GPS recalculating was a pain. Just imagine Siri letting you know that your EV is losing charge a lot faster than predicted. And then informing you that there are no charge stations within the leftover range.

    Snow Peak Addiction

Fancy new Snow Peak tent. Obviously not intended for drunks with all the guy wires. Probably takes three men and a little boy to set it up.

Switching my life to "not Jeans". Can I get some recomendations for good NON JEANS

I spend some time riding my motorcycle to and from town for errands. I found Kuhl makes a pair of pants called Rydr. They are nice that they have articulated knees and have been pretty durable. Not cheap, but the last couple of pairs lasted me about 5 years of everyday use.

Good to get all the negative stuff out of the way before you go. Safe travels.

Switching from 4 to 2 wheel solo travel

BMW=Bring My Wallet. BMW makes a great product... as long as you are within warranty. You will find that you will be modifying any motorcycle you get. Start with something cheap and easy. Then work your way up to what you really lust after.

Switching from 4 to 2 wheel solo travel

I'd go play on that Scarbeo 250 on a couple of the routes. Put a top box on it and head out. Then see what shortcomings it has and look for a bike that fixes them. My little Kawasaki Super Sherpa is a 250. I'd have no problem riding it around the world with a few mods.

    2WD E450 Rear End Options?

Give it the ground clearance and tires. I wouldn't bother with changing the rear diff. I have a 24' Lazy Daze that I live in full time. I don't want to take my home into places that I would need 4wd. The twisting is not good for the RV. There are plenty of BLM and forest service roads that you...
