got tired of stepping/kneeling on the hard Tacoma bed so added a Bedrug mat. space is a little more homey and the mat easily removed for cleaning.

yes!
Wilde Custom Gear makes custom MOLLE panels. They’re intended for gun safes but work perfectly on the door. They even come with velcro so they swap right in for the pockets. They have grommets if you want to more securely mount too. Not cheap but they’re custom/made in USA.

digging the Canopy Camper on my Taco!
still deciding what to do with the bed. I had ideas but they changed after the last trip down to WV. I really liked keeping my mountain bike securely inside (29er). it was safely out of sight and didn’t have to put my hitch carrier on and decrease...
[emoji1366] yeah totally met you and your solid dog! haha
that’s great you worked it out with Rin- enjoy the canopy! thank you for sharing my canopy post for anyone looking for a 3rd gen version.

Canopy is available.
Sale didn’t work out since buyer wanted it for 2nd Gen.
Note the bed sizing isn’t generation cross compatible for the AluCab canopies - this is for 3rd Gen Shortbed only.
Canopy is now off the Taco and at OK4WD for pickup.
Also: Rin said a 2nd Gen used one is or will...
thanks for the interest. that would definitely be a question for Rin. I’ll see him later this week and can ask too.
currently sale is pending to Clymber.
regardless I really recommend these canopies - they’re super solid.

I’ve been running the Blue Ridge Overland XL since it was released and give it a big thumbs up. Ran a couple Trasharoos but they failed over time. BROG bag is a little spendy buy in but lasts. I also like the strap mounting system- easy peasy installee and removal when not needed.

Purchased August 2018 for my 3rd Gen shortbed Tacoma.
It’s black with glass rear window with 1250 loadbar kit on low profile mounts.
Canopy/doors functions perfectly. Exterior has a few minor scuffs and pinstripes from being on the truck for the last 11 month but otherwise in great shape...
last fall we hit some solid VT trails with MSO’s Taco/Khaya and I thought it did quite well.

I tested one for a couple months (and wrote a review for OX4) - and it’s exterior shell is super bomber. Dragged it repeatedly though tight East coast trails and was fine. I’d be more concerned with branches/limbs with the soft RTTs I’ve owned/experienced than this. Hope you can check one out...
great write up & report! thanks for sharing! [emoji1360]
we got the maps from them and ran the Trans-NH after VOR a couple years ago. scenic, fun memorable trip! definitely recommend - especially the northern/Washington sections.

it looks ok minus some of the previously mentioned pieces (tent, leds, wheels). bumper doesn't flow for me.
also- Anything Scout's next project is Wagoneer based. if it's like their Scout it should be pretty sweet
