Our tray is steel frame and stell sides wooden floor it is 2100mm wide but if i was to make one i would make it the same width as the cab for a couple of reasons easier to see down the sides with the mirrors in traffic, reversing etc etc and for fitting down bush tracks .

I did check them when we got the truck to make sure they where tight.

I am sure if you remove the covering behind the front seats on what i could call the fire wall there is two panels one on the left one the right i am sure the bolt heads are behind there .
The tent works well for us on the back of the truck as like you one day we will build a camper...
Hi and welcome, lift up the left hand seat and open the hatch under the seat.
We have a FG649 it has a dip stick to check th ps fluid , i think when i flushed ours i took the drivers seat out to get to it all.

When i had my HZJ75 1995 troopy which i sold last year with 410000kms on it i would change timing belt,belt tenioner , cam seal, hoses,coolant and fan belts every 100000kms and then every 200000kms i would also change water pump and reco the altenator.
I have never changed the spring...

We use our truck(FG649 2003) for touring we travel at 60kph to 100pkh depends on roads and what is out the window to see and on how much fuel we have.
They are great for crusing around in but no high speed tourer by any means and if you are touring why would you care how fast you going take...
