A flippin' diamond in the rough

Aha, I see how you all were using them now! Well, they work out great to hold up my curtains now. :) easy, simple. Nice!...as I plant my palm into my face...thanks Robertsons!

"Lola" - WreckDiver1321's 2005 Frontier CC/SB Nismo Build and Adventure Thread

Probably. OP also watch your speed, as you likely were doing 73-76MPH when your speedo said 70. Easy to broach into the "get a ticket" zone, versus just a little bit over the speed limit. Dunno if you use a tuner (I don't even know if there are any for Frontiers), but I adjust my tuner (I have...

A flippin' diamond in the rough

I'm interested to see what you come up with. I tried various configurations of the spring loaded types with poor results. I do still use one on the rear to hold up window screen though, but its also tied in place using zip ties. My screen has 4 panels & connects to each other using magnets so...

    Mattress Help

If folks in the US are looking for a similar Euro style setup, check out Ikea. That's a part of there platform beds. When I bought a bed 5 years ago, you buy everything separately. Also has the option for "stronger" spring sections, and mine is setup almost like two single beds stuck together...

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

Trip sounds nice! I'm headed down to that Nissan offroad meet end of September, and hope to drive Skyline Drive & the entire Blue Ridge Parkway if time permits. I'm not too confident yet in my offroad skills to include offroading on trips without support. Enjoy!

    ARB Awning on fiberglass camper

I wouldn't use that, nor the 3m outdoor. If i was going that route I'd consider a more permanent type of bonding material. Also read around on how to (I don't know-that's for sure), but I think you would want to remove the clear coat from any area you would be bonding to (either tape or...

Hitch mounted tire carrier. Yay or nay?

No actual experience with a hitch mount, but if anything I would go for a swing out. Would allow better ease of use for your rear storage. Pricier for sure, but would be worth it IMO. My Pathfinder had a rear tire carrier (OEM install, not hitch), and it would have just bugged me if it flipped...

WTB Roof Top Tent in NC

Yeah, very difficult to find nice used lightweight stuff on this coast (Trailers, campers, RTT's etc).

The "What Did You Do To Your Pop-Up Truck Camper Today?" Thread!!!

Just modified my CVT awning walls to fit my truck with the tailgate down, and back window up. Mine was the "55" size, so I knew when I bought it I'd have some fiddling to do. Not too bad actually. I cut up the bathtub floor to make an external rain/wind skirt, and also cut the truck side door...

Picked it up at the PO Saturday. Works perfect, thanks!

    Flippac torsion bar

Crane would prove super handy for the install I'd imagine. You likely wouldn't even need helpers if rigged up well. I've read that communication with FRP can be "interesting". Maybe someone else has spares? I'm thinking AT perhaps, but don't know how that'd work with warranty & such anyways.

    ARB Awning on fiberglass camper

The brackets are through bolted on mine. Seems to be holding up just fine, including driving 70+MPH. I'd likely not deploy my awning in heavy winds though as that ?might? cause too much stress to the fiberglass. Might be fine . Would likely work allrite with my awning room attached & staked...

    Flippac torsion bar

7 months old? Ugh-bummer! I haven't installed one, but have read up a bit about the process as my FP I bought used & it's older. I'm currently getting prepared to simply remove it, using a "torsion bar delete mod". I will then not have the torsion bar, which removes a bunch if stress from the...

    QB's Charlie the Lost Pathfinder

Nice! Add on to your wish list: recovery points. For your pending tow reciever: install (or store with your straps) a D-ring reciever hitch $10 down here, but you must be able to source something similarly inexpensive up there. You could make one too. I "think" there should/might be hooks up...

    Generator/AC sertup for vehicle?

If you can afford them, look into computer server air conditioners. I "think" I read about using them somewhere on here on the portal...not sure on that though. ...Anyways they would seem easier to modify to fit our applications as a portable (vehicle or tent) airconditioning unit. I'm...

    MSR Dragonfly SOLD

Price seems fair-heck pretty good actually to me. Be patient, it's nice out & summertime - a lot of folks on here are out having fun! They're very good stoves, I just don't currently have a need.
