gotcha. the prices for the JKs are high... but it is a pretty amazing Jeep. I'd be interested in a ride comparison of a JK Unlimited with the premium AEV vs a Grand. And you could plush out the JK for the lady with leather, heated seats, etc. ;> nonetheless I'm looking forward to your Grand...

Why not switch to a 4 door JK with hard top? 2012s should be pretty sweet... I know the interior is not as grand as a Grand but pretty wow for a Wrangler. obviously lots of aftermarket support. just a thought.

lol... I hear ya. I don't nostalgic (too often at least) to reach over unzipper my TJ windows. I'm alright with continually improving interiors - especially if it lets Jeep sell more vehicles and maintain/improve their capabilities.

I'd stick with maxing out with a light 32-33" tires. I'd probably stay with a lighter one (say GY or BFG) or go to a carrier and forget about it. As for tire carrier - I've heard mostly good things about the Expedition One carrier. Here's a link to jsmorris build thread. had minor issue that...

AEV ram air fits normally. AEV pre-filter will need an extension to clear the rack.
