Lightly wire brush just to knock loose scale off and then brush on some POR-15 and you're done. You can spray it too with a bigger tip.

I have used rock rings for many different applications over the years with great results. No increase in heat and depending on the design the mud and debris will just wash out as you drive(gravity).

The guys @ wartimefinds.com might be able to help ya'll out with the tire/adapter/rim dilemma. Not affiliated but have bought a ton of stuff from them over the years and never an issue.

Transmission work was through Ammco and the rest of the recent work was through an Indie shop.

Super capable just be careful if you use a swivel type of hitch. They will flex out and roll if you aren't paying attention.
